Same drill as usual: - No caster bashing.
- Excessive tournament bashing that detracts from game discussion will be met with moderator action. Criticism is welcome, whining is not.
- In general do your best to stay on topic and discuss what we're all here for: the games.
Enjoy the games guys. |

Hero looked like he's seen it before, he immediately tried to block the 2nd gas steal.

I can't get over how incredibly smart of HerO that play was. I'd love to know if he's faced that build before and had that prepared as a response, because if he came up with that on the fly it was brilliant.

Call me mad, but I actually like the casting more than the usual gang. Excited for the rest of the tournament.

It's 1:40 in the afternoon on the west (where this is held) which still puts a lot of people at work, in school, etc. I'm only watching because I work at home. Otherwise I wouldn't be tuning in until much later. Yeah, most European tournaments tend to start around this time, standard wake up at 6am -> watch tournament schedule here ^^

That is the guy streaming from a art studio?

These games are great for PvP. Usually pvp is boring. These games are not.

NASL splashed the cash to give us a weekly tournament, get Day9, djWheat and other community pillars out to CA for the finals, round up a good chunk of the best foreigner players in the scene, but god forbid they spell "Aiur" wrong or don't give you 1080HD and all the other stuff you want. We are the most entitled community I've ever seen. Stop whining about stupid stuff and enjoy the tournament.
Also, it's one thing to argue "constructive criticism". That's fine, it's how companies improve. "WAAAHHH WORST TOURNAMENT EVER OMG DO NOT LIKE" isn't constructive criticism. It's whining. Yes there has been whining, but there has been constructive criticism. I mean people want to watch 480p which isn't that far off. They want games to start on time, and have casters they like which sry NASL but most people don't seem to like gretorp. Also you did make a bad point by saying it is a all foreigner event basically so we have no Koreans. It has been said before, but NASL so far hasn't seemed to have stepped up even after having criticism thrown at them.
1. HoN delayed it, easily forgiven. 2. This is just like people hating on the Code A casters. Every league has to have enough casters to make it easier on the main casters for the league. The prominent casters are the fill in casters, that is the way it goes. It really isn't that hard to commentate the game yourself if you really hate them that much. 3. Koreans decided not to come, it has been discussed to death in the past so there isn't much of a reason to bring it up the day of the event.
To be fair, this event hasn't really started yet. It is 1:45 on a Friday, more people will show up after they get off work and school. The 360p looks atleast as good as GSL free stream and the sound issues aren't glaring at all.
There are some damn good players playing, I'm glad I get to watch it for free. We should try to keep the negativity down and save the constructive criticism for the thread that is bound to come up after this weekend is over.
P.S. Would love it for a note to be at the top of the thread and moderators to get rid of all the caster bashing in this thread. Now lets watch the tournament.

Smart play by HerO dropping the proxy gates then getting the cannons. I wonder if HerO has actually seen that strategy before.

Yeah I just learned something new, I never thought to trade my mineral advantage to sacrificial proxy gates to give me time to get my gas back. Im seriously ecstatic learning this trick. Hero is my hero even more now

yeah Hero has seen that build before... he did it against Tester at MLG Raleigh

HerO uses that build all the time, I actually never saw anyone else use it before HerO. Can't use HerO's builds against him.

I doubt double gas steal is THAT uncommon. The response from HerO was probably a planned one if that happened, I imagine.

Hero is good. But he must have played against that tactic before. The way he handeled it looked too perfect.
