This is the post regarding signups, qualifier questions, and broadcast schedule for our second (out of 2 total) online qualifiers for the IPL 4 UK Qualifiers at insomnia44. For more information on that event please click here: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=277765
When: Saturday, November 5th (and maybe Sunday if it goes long) at 8 AM PDT / 11 AM EDT / 5 PM. CEST - Check-in 30 minutes before
Cost: $5
You must also be 18 years or older to participate.
Prize: Free flight, free hotel, a guaranteed a slot in the Championship Bracket at the IPL 4 UK Qualifiers at insomnia44.
Note: The winner of the IPL 4 UK Qualifiers at insomnia44 will be qualified for the IPL 4 Main Event, details to come soon (tm).

Posting just so I can show my support for all the amazing stuff IPL is doing for the community!
You may want to include in the OP that participation is not limited to people in the UK (I'm assuming this qualifier follows the same rules as the previous one of course)

Teams, including the Korean teams, should be jumping all over this chance to get their players who aren't going to Providence entered in to this. Free trip to an international LAN with $20k steaked.
Please can you live cast this time round? It was sad seeing the brackets update with no stream

Unfortunately we don't have plans to live cast the online qualifier this weekend. However, I do hope to see more players (all players actually) with European accounts signing up for this. Not only can you win a free trip to a $20,000 live event, but there's a chance at getting a seat in the championship bracket for the upcoming IPL 4. This is one juicy satellite tournament that EU players need to be aware of!

When you say live casts, you mean that we will get vods after, right?

So many amazing Protoss players going to IPL4 UK Regional Qualifier tournament at insomnia44, they've confirmed Grubby, Whitera, Minigun, Hasuobs, Bling. As an English Protoss player I hope I can make it, should be an amazing event. My Whitera shirt also came today so hopefully i can get it signed by the man himself :D

Yep! We cast from the replays in the days following the tournament. =)

With numbers remaining pretty low, would running a group stage would represent a fairer tourney and more value for money for the players? Top in each group nails a spot.

Why did so few people register for the moment? An online qualifier for 5$ with the possibility to get 20000 looks good to me.

Unfortunate that the main event will collide with MLG Providence. I guess that explains the lack of sign-ups in the online qualifiers. Anyway, I'm exited how the final tournament will be, IPL3 was already awesome.

Oh yeah, didn't realize that, but many of the top eu players won't be going to providence so they should register.

I don't understand why the UK regionals has Koreans, or why the Pacific regionals has Naniwa. Can anyone just play in any regional? If so, why are they called regionals and not just Qualifier Division X?

Because the games have not been casted yet. So there is nothing much to talk about here, except the results.
The games will be casted later from replays, maybe the thread will be more active then.

This is an online tournament to win a trip TO the UK for their live qualifier.

Crank vs Eeel: one of these casters does not understand the low costs for a phoenix hallu scout, while overseers/scanns are much more expensive. is that seriously what he said? sentries cost 100 gas and 50 minerals. a sentrie is all about the spells. the damage they deal is low. what do you pay for a hallu scout: 100/100 hallu research, 100/50 for the sentrie and 100 energy.

Please enable quality options on the stream. It looks like it's set to 720p or 1080p with no option to downgrade. My computer can only handle 360p tops, so I'm watching a slide show right now.
