A bit of a mistake from polt. If you're doing a double medivac drop and their army is out of position the last thing you want to do is give their units something to attack.

I think that zealot/stalker scout won SangHo the game. It allowed him to cut a lot of corners, and Polt went for a semi all-in attack that hit at the perfect anti-timing, with Storm, Charge and +1/+1 done.

Still, it's nice to have an example of how leaving Templar behind in your base doesn't actually counter drops particularly well.

It was a 1 gate 1 gas expand into super fast double forge and templar archives with storm. It sounds risky but considering Killer had such a great scout early on I think it was safe enough.

Taeja is kind of the wrench in my liquibets. I know he's number 1 ELO, but I feel like I havent seen enough of him play to make a safe call on what he's going to do. I'm really intrigued to see this next matchup

If polt didnt go for silly reactor hellions which rarely work vs toss and went for rax instead he would have crushed the first zealot + stalker then roll him....

It used to be, but when they added the MLG partnership they redid group stage matchups as well. We haven't had winner vs. loser for 2 or 3 seasons now.

So now Game 3 = Group winner match
Game 4 = Group loser/Up & Down match
Game 5 = 2nd RO16 spot match

Always.
