playhem you are the first that made me participate frequently in online tournaments/leagues ... and I am loving it.

Easy to: sign up, check in, upload replays, automatic bracket update, end of tournament download the full replay package and scout my opponents tactics for the next tournament.

I like it, it's great fun. Hopefully I can gather some bucks beside playing my favorite online competition game!

I participated in my first tournament on playhem, got destroyed first round by a master but it was fun nonetheless. The tournament system seems to be working very well, and it's a good opportunity to get a taste of competitive play for more casual players

Only one or two critics: the site is a little bit confusing in my opinion, I was looking for a FAQ or something to explain how the system works, especially how the point system works (I don't know if they regen, if you have to buy them etc.) But otherwise it's really cool

It says on the playhem website that the EU daily must be played on the americas server. This has to be a mistake right??

It may just be my searchingskills but the amount of general info available on the Playhem website is a bit low. Am I correct? Like I said, maybe I'm just missing something. With my registration apparently I got an amount of points which I use to spend on playing in tournaments? And then I can win more points or cash if I get far enough in certain tourneys. Then what? What happens if my points run out? Where are the results of past tourneys and replaypacks? I'm just missing the "about" and "this is what and how we do stuff" links I guess. The site just seems to be a dressed down tourneysystem which leaves me to find out how it works for myself. Is that statement true or is it me? TL and the Wikipedia seem to have more info about Playhem in various threads and pages then the site itself does :-P

Can anyone point me to them? There seems to be a Help section, but it only gives you a way to add feedback or look at past problems people have stated (many of which hold question I stated above).

I know I would be better off asking this directly towards the Playhem staff, but I'm just looking for some experiences with the site I guess. I just registered yesterday :-)

It is basically what you say: a tournament hub. Just sign up and the rest is really self explanatory. For anything not hosted by Playhem, there is no support. I think the points system is pointless and dead, but if you want to find a quick tournament for your league it works decent.

It's what I figured, but I don't agree about the self explanatory bit :-) Maybe for the more internet-savvy people that have been playing tournaments often (like I am/have, if I may say so myself). And I did get most of it. It's just weird the info isn't there. As if they don't want new people to join...
