There was no code s spot up for grabs at columbus because gsl needed to change their format to fit the mlg spot.

Well, I guess Hero DIDNT get code A.

Only non-koreans can get the Code A invite.

Pro Circuit Players Competing in the GSL
At MLG Columbus, the Top 3 non-Korean finishers will each be placed into GSL Code A. At every 2011 Pro Circuit Live Competition after MLG Columbus, GSL placement will occur as follows:
Code S status will be awarded to the highest placing player, within the Top 3, regardless of country of origin, who does not already have Code S status. Code S status will not be awarded if all of the players placing 1st-3rd already have Code S Status. Code A status will be awarded to the next three highest placing non-Korean players. If Code S status is awarded to a Korean player, or not awarded at all, Code A status also will be awarded to the 4th highest placing non-Korean player. All travel and accomodation expenses for these players will be provided by the GSL.

apparently, though people were wondering specifically what non-korean meant.
also, team USA? errr

The "Team USA!" is a joke from the GSL World Championship. Tastosis would jokingly refer to the 'World' team as "Team USA".
I love how GOM is casting these qualifiers (and particularly appreciate Torch's involvement as I've heard this was his initiative/work). I love seeing some of the up-and-coming players.

Why is this so hard for people to understand? The Code A spots from MLG are only for players the Koreans consider "foreigners", simple as that. It's to make GSL more international and attract more foreign interest. Hero doesn't make GSL more international, neither does Puma, regardless of their team.

Thanks for the explanation. Thats unfortunate, was hoping to see Boxer back in code S, hopefully he will do it this season. =D
Also Go go Hero and Jinro!

Huk can only compare himself to Idra at the moment, not Jinro. He has a lot more to do to be as successful as Jinro. IN GSL I agree. Overall, I dont agree - Huk has done more, Dreamhack and Homestory back to back... just insane~ I am playing btw, on sunday. This is gonna be awesome, I'm gonna be rooting for you like crazu sunday Jinro! I'm 100 you'll do it!!! Jinrooo hwaitingggggggggg I dont think Im ready yet, but I want to play anyway. I ll be ready (REALLY ready) for the next one I think. I have practiced a lot but still have many things to work on, and the way getting better works, at least for me, isnt going to be instant.

It goes on for 20 hours each day? Do you know how to count? Let me help. 12am, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, 5pm, 6pm, 7pm, 8pm, now how many hours is that? 8 Hours most likely. Um I think you mean 12 pm, otherwise he's right that would be 20 hours.
You guys are really that dumb or is it me?
12pm is 24h, 12am is 12h, thus 12h is 12am and not otherwise.
Do you guys have anything in your brains?

also it is fairly widely known that there is a fair bit of confusion over 12am and 12pm (although i always see 12am as midnight and 12pm as noon) so calling people dumb and being condescending actually just makes you look misinformed

No need to be so rude.
12 a.m. means midnight in many parts of the world.

Don't worry, it's you, for assuming.
12pm = 12:00 Military (24hr) time in the US. 12am = 0:00 Military (24hr) time in the US. 12am to 8pm would be 20hrs.
Maybe it's different in Portugal?
That said - it's at September 3rd ~ 4th 12 PM ~ 8 PM KST From http://www.gomtv.net/event/GSLOctoberCodeA_Live.gom I'd assume that's 8 hrs.
