I don't doubt information coming from HuK himself but I don't get the logic. Even if you think you aren't ready for Code A yet you should still try your best... It's a matter of pride, he wants to earn it, not have it given to him. Jinro to become the first foreigner to pass through the code A qualifiers since himself back in season 3 xD
As i see it Sase would have a bigger chance to go throught the qualifier. However Jinro ftw!

On the jtv channel it says "VODs will be uploaded at GOMTV.net by the end of the broadcast!" but the broadcast is over for a couple of hours already - no VODs to find. I coudn't watch it live because it started in the middle of the night for EU. Is there an ETA for the VODs? I really wanna watch this.

Hopefully they get uploaded quick maybe because there's so much video it's taking extra long?

I think he means after the Open Seasons, when they established the Code A - Code S system. I don't think any foreigners have made it through the Code A qualifiers since.

noooo, Boxeruuuu
also Jinro is such a baller, turning down a guaranteed code a invite because he felt he didn't deserve it.

I have to admit watching these VODs is getting me a little teary eyed thinking of the sooo many amazing moments GSL has brought us. They get so much flak for having crappy finals but man, there is no other tournament in the world that has given so many otherworldly SC2 moments. These are real gems.

oh god they're actually playing my favourite GSTL game ever right now. (squirtle vs mvp in the first GSTL finals)

Definitely. It's amazing to remember all the great games that have happened in the last year. Honestly I only have passes for everything from January onward (watched the first 3 live/sporadically), and this weekend is making me want to buy season passes for the 3 Open seasons, just as a thank you to GOM. This anniversary celebration is great advertising lol!
These are also the games that have made Tastetosis so legendary as well. These are classic casts.
edit: "Forget Mewtwo it's all about Squirtle" hahahaha oh man. Squirtle needs to get good again so we can have more Pokemon jokes from Tasteless/Artosis.

IM vs Startale... epic
Great match after a great match. First Bomber BMs IM after Losira match. Then MVP takes him out in an epic match. Then Squirtle shows mothership. WOW>

And this is off-topic, but I see people always shitting on tgun and calling him bad. Well, RevivaL, who has now qualified for Code A twice, was 2-0ed by tgun last qualifier.
Ive been quite the fan of Revival for some time now. Though ive actually never seen his zvz. It stands to reason that he might not be very good at it. Keep in mind, he only had FD to practice vs Z with on TSL, until recently. (they added 3 more zergs that ive never herd of )
Also from what i've seen from Revival, his decision making has always been his downfall. ZvZ is actually very dependent on making decisions. That's one reason why Nestea is so dominant in it.
Not trying to hate on Tgun, or claim his win wasn't worth anything. Its just that Revival is quite unproven in ZvZ, i don't think anybody has praised him for that match up.

wow, seeing the blizzard CEO handing a $10k check to the team. he must be thinking... that's a week's salary for me, these kids. seriously, they could at least add another zero on there, isn't this supposed to be the biggest and the best? it should blow everyone else away. what a pathetic sum, it really feels like chump change when i watch this with my friends who are new to e-sports. they just laugh hysterically. it's not going to be taken seriously until there is real money involved. even $100k? look at the budgets these guys have for production, advertising, and tell me that it would make a substantive difference. but it might for a lot of players and potential pro-gamers.

is Mujuk the guy who use to derp around for SKT1? always good to see more BW players i guess
but... GO HERO!!!

Really sucks BoxeR didn't qualify. I'm happy HerO did and it seems like YelloW didn't do to bad.

Sorry to disappoint but I'm pretty sure they won't be up for a couple days, that's what it was like for last month's qualifiers as well. =/

Realistically it would be almost impossible to go from barely played to Code A qualifier in just over a month. Ambitiously, it is pretty damn impressive that Yellow got to Masters, fulfilled the requirements, and won his first series only to lose the second in his favorite SC2 matchup: ZvP!
I'm hoping this means we get another 4 weeks of Project A, and I'm hoping that Yellow can get to the semifinals / finals in the next qualifier. If he can actually make it into Code A, I think that would be the biggest advertisement worldwide that "practice matters"

It was a pretty lofty goal. At the beginning TheWind was saying how he qualified for the first GSL having only played for 4 weeks or something, but it was totally different then, since everyone else hadn't played for very long either. The real question is whether or not Yellow continues to seriously play and can qualify for Code A at some point in the future.

So according to liquipedia San is listed under "other" because he wants to join a foreign team? I'm surprised no one has picked him up. I wish he could get back into code A

Squirtle actually always gets second in ST's in-house ranking tournaments (after Bomber), so it's not as if he's gotten bad. With Ace out, I hope he gets in. Curious too, because he's allegedly ST's best Zerg player -- just has an issue with nerves.
Hopefully we'll see some of the non-Terran SlayerS get through this time.
