The following is a list of behaviors that will get immediate bans:
1. Whining about stream 2. Bashing other games 3. Flaming other users 4. Bashing players 5. Complaining about imbalance
Basically just be respectful. Aside from that, enjoy the games, make sure you bring an umbrella and have some delicious waffles! (#) |

yea he should have stalled for as long as possible, the more he delays the attack the stronger his compo becomes because of immortal/phoenix get really strong vs pumas composition the higher they get in number, that and he had a better eco so stalling would have allowed him to pump more units.. basic math t.t
i think he just got anxious and just engaged without thinking, should have just forced puma to slowpush his way towards his base so could have bought himself as much time as possible

1) He chose XNC... he has to realize there is basically a 100% chance PuMa 1-1-1's on XNC. 2) He engaged pretty poorly there. Running into 4 sieged tanks.
I just don't get why Kiwikaki didn't pick a different map........ I think Kiwi prepared this build just for the 1-1-1 and he was quite confident of holding it off. and he almost did if he did not engage it wrongly...

My 2 cents. I was thinking the same thing watching it, but I think he was worried that waiting would allow Puma too many tanks/marines. They scale so well that you really can't keep up with slow zealots.
The thing with not engaging is that 1-1-1 eventually evolves into a hard contain which forces a 1-base colossus build that just loses to anything. You need to defeat the push, you can't stall too much because terran will gain an insurmountable economic lead.
Also, immortals and phoenixes lose effectiveness as the marine numbers rise and combat shield/stimpack complete, another reason you can't just wait.

You play to win, don't get Puma because Blizzard can't fix their game. 1-1-1 is pretty broken, but tbh, If I was in Puma's shoes I would probably do it to every Protoss

I don't want to see EG.1-1-1 in code S at all, he doesn't deserve it how in the world does puma not deserve it. are you even watching this tournament? he all in's once = BURN THE WITCH?
he allins a fuckton of games sadly enough

This is the reason why Genius went proxy stargate 2 games in a row vs Virus. He wanted to win and 1/1/1 is way too strong. Blizzard really needs to fix this haha.

By the way I don't know if anyone has pointed this out yet.
but Kiwi did the protoss 1-1-1 that game.

I just don't get why Kiwikaki didn't pick a different map........ That's exactly why Kiwi chose XNC. He was ahead of Puma strategically, he just had a bad engagement and Puma executes it really fucking well. I have to imagine Kiwi was confident against 1-1-1 though.

I mean PuMa pulled a lot of scv's and he forced the siege up in midfield, shouldn't he just have delayed the push until PuMa was at his doorstep? seeing all those scv's not mining I would think he'd only get advantage out of the waiting-game. Well Kiwi needed an open area to engage. He didn't want to engage too close to his natural where there are two big chokes that would block his zealots off from doing much. But no matter what, not the best engagement for Kiwi.
Oh well, he's played fantastic so far this tournament. Hopefully he'll have a good run tomorrow.

I WANT BACK MY 5 RAXX REAPERS!!!

I wonder if there would anyone complaining about 1-1-1 if a foreign terran would have beaten a top korean protoss with it. ~

Except you're wrong. He said that 1-1-1 is overpowered and he wouldn't use it, that part is correct. However he said people play to win, so if there is a build that lets them win they should use it.

Waited for...? To be bottled up his own ramp? Puma was already staggering his tanks

It was pretty clear that Kiwi tried to trick Puma into doing the 1-1-1, hoping to hold it.

You can bet anything that he'll lose to extremely difficult builds from protoss and zerg at some point in the future, and his opponents aren't likely to show mercy.
Use it while you can.

I love how people don't say shit when Kiwi 2 base all-ins every game he played before it, and Puma all ins one game and people started flaming him. (i know the 1/1/1 situation, but it is just double standard.)

Even though a lot of fans are disappointed about the last series, I think we should all be proud of kiwi. Good pool record and most people would have predicted a loss vs Puma anyway. I'm certain he freaking scared the hell out of Puma there in games 2 & 3.
