The following is a list of behaviors that will get immediate bans:
1. Whining about stream 2. Bashing other games 3. Flaming other users 4. Bashing players 5. Complaining about imbalance
Basically just be respectful. Aside from that, enjoy the games, make sure you bring an umbrella and have some delicious waffles! (#) |
It's weird, but I don't think I've actually ever seen haypro win a game.

Watching these Korean terrans and the top foreigners (Thorzain especially) has done more for my performance in TvZ than anything else. The calm way with which they deal with mutas is something really special.
Bomber is fantastic. I did like that roach play from Haypro. I imagine that would have broken most non-Korean terrans, especially if they didn't do that supply depot wall.

Man bomber didn't focus the same ling there, 2 marines vs 4 lings should end up with at least 2 lings dead

(Vote): Ret (Vote): Nada
Nada...for now. So unconvincing lately, but still good enough to be considered all round stronger than Ret. u sure? from wat i saw yesterday id give ret a 60-40 edge(skillwise) I think all these skill comparisons are still way too shaky and volatile right now to make much sense. Ret was looking relatively mediocre for quite a while until he absolutely tore through the EU invitational, while Nada was looking extremely strong and a real contender for Code S until he got abolutely dismantled by Byun last season. Right now I would give a small edge to Ret, but that might very well change again soon. i shit u not all the progamees predicted that ret would crush the blizzard eu before it happened, that was based off of his ingame skill that we saw from him in practice games and such.. we didnt base our decision off of tournaments results(if we used that logic than naniwa should have been the favorite) So what do you think determines those tournament results? Luck? Maybe once in a while a player will over-perform or under-perform, but over time, you get a pretty accurate view of who's performing consistently. You can't make a serious argument about Ret being better than Nada when Nada is clearly performing consistently well in the most competitive league in the world. That's not to say that Ret wouldn't be able to take a series off Nada, but he just doesn't have the results that would suggest that he is better yet. Talking about "in-game skill" is pretty much the same as saying "my opinion based on absolutely nothing concrete" since there's no direct way to measure it. Also, you can have all of the "in-game skill" in the world, but if that's not translating into wins in those tournaments, then it's still meaningless. On the day a person can either bring their A game or they don't. So it's hard to tell just how good someone is potentially just based on results alone. That's why I specifically pointed out that you need to look at results over time. These players don't play 1 tournament a year. They're constantly competing with each other in various events and over time, you will notice trends. Also once again, the amount of skill you have is irrelevant if that doesn't translate into wins in leagues and tournaments which is why we take a host of factors into account when evaluating a player, not just how well they micro/macro. Yes. One problem with looking purely at someone's gameplay is that you lose track of his comfort with a variety of strategies. A player might have incredible macro, but then completely fall apart when facing some unorthodox tactic. Ret loses a lot of games like this, for instance, so when predicting future results has to depend at least somewhat on evaluation of previous results against those players, not just some sort of macro ranking.
