Not building a starport in game 2 pretty much ruins your theory doesn't it.

Not to mention that drops are generally considered the appropriate response to infestor play.

Such a shame for Steph, he had enough ability/skill to win, but oh well.

That is kind of how the game works though. Unless you have that one big, enchanted fairy tale tournament where everything goes your way, you are going to go through a lot of them where you definitely are good enough to win but you fall just short due to a lot of small, unfortunate events.

I really like Stephano, he has a lot of things that feel right about him. I hope that it just makes him want to win even more and practice hard. Getting rid of tournament nerves either comes through sheer force of will and personality or it comes through exposure and experience. This is certainly something that gives the latter.

Will be interesting to follow Puma throughout though. He obviously is an amazing, amazing player.

Stephano actually sent his lings to the third behind the rocks. We could see it when they were watching the replay with Stephano's camera... That's why those lings were standing there in front of the rocks.

No idea why Stephano sent them there though.

He obviously clicked a medivac

ya this,
and the lings got stuck behind the rocks, you saw them tryin getting further to the medivac when it was just behind the rocks

how could he: maybe clicked the medivac when an ovie spotted it, not sure did this happen but i still find clicking the medivac a likely explanation

You mean like in Game 1? don't talk please.

yes stephano is so much better, you can see that through the result of 1 out of 3 games.

He is capable of making puma looking like a child.... second game puma was on the ball with his textbook tvz and third game won by a misclick... I did see and everyone else saw in these games he can be better then puma... puma obviously won and deserved it but don't take away from the kid... hes 16 and can take a game from puma so decisively...

That being said both players played amazingly, those were some entertaining games!

I'm not 100% sure about this because of something else I read earlier, but from what I can remember, clicks still register if the camera isn't following one specific person.

They are behind on schedule and did not update it.

Haa ok thanks. Because that was the same yesterday, and yesterday I thought that they were certainly behind but today as it's again the same delay I thought it was a different timezone :p

I don't know exactly what the issue is, and I don't know exactly what the zones are, but I suspect that they are operating in the ESPORTS timezone, where nothing is ever on at the time that you expect, but everything turns out pretty durn cool anyways.

I disagree. I think Puma is on another level. His results show it as well, quite clearly. Not saying Stephano is bad, he is definitely an up and comer, and he played brilliantly the first game.

Great games nonetheless. Even though the 3rd was a bit short.

Stephano did quite good all things considered. He might do a lot of damage in the tourney but there's no way he'll win against Puma. This or I will have to eat my words.

Did you watch the first game? He is perfectly capable to take the series from Puma... Puma obviously can take this game from Stephano... but that first game... he made puma look like a small infant.

I did and it was a fluke imo. Thankfully Puma didn't dissapoint in the third game. Here's to hoping he'll tear the tournament again.

lol a fluke ?

i love the people saying puma is on a different level. did they see game 1? puma lost it and looked like a noob. then he played 2 allins and won wow hes really sooooo goood

yea cuz allins are not a part of this game

The drop in game 3 wasn't all in. People need to stop calling any for of offense an all in. Two medi's of marines can be lost without it losing you the game. Its not ideal, but that is a harass, not a god damned all in.

Losing a double medivac drop that early without doing much damage is actually a lot worse than ideal and isn't simple "harass". Harass implies it can do damage or if it doesn't at least give you potential positional favour. Pumas play needed to do lots of damage if he lost the drops. So while not being say an scv pull type thing it's still vital to not lose them.
