Might be interesting, i don't think FE is the counter to this build as other ppl said You have to be able to hold your front choke. Otherwise seige tanks are going to do there thing and make it so you cant leave for a loooooooong time. Well, thing is you see this build coming right? So just make a bunch of units and couple immortal as much as you can and wait for it to come and fight head on. Either way you lose, so why not just try it

Bomber's all-in against MC was more mindgames than anything. He said in an interview that he plays against MC a lot on ladder and that MC wouldn't expect that build in the GSL. He also played 3 very standard games against him at dreamhack.
He also 111'd Hasuobs on Terminus, and it was one of the best executed 111's I've ever seen.

Right, if your gonna cancel. Might as well type out. You're not leaving your base.
I mean you have to hold your naturals choke anyway. Why cancel?

But at the end of the day these guys are trying to become professional players and they will do what it takes to win - if they don't then they are being foolish. If I had a build that gave me a 90% winrate and chose not to use it in competition because it was cheesy.. well that would be dumb. Do what it takes to win! Eventually it will get figured out and won't be as effective so exploiting it while it is strong is smart

1) Scout it and see it coming. 2) Bring out your probes and melee with the SCVs. When tanks fire all workers died which affects the T more due to not able to repair + less base to reproduce new workers. 3) Do a flank. Spread out all your units before the T ball arrives at your base.
Seriously, China players are amazing in holding this. Get a tutorial from them if you know mandarin. The best Chinese Terran is Loner...... I don't think comparing a chinese 1/1/1 and a Korean 1/1/1 is a good idea.... lol
The best Chinese Terran is not Loner. There are tonnes more out there who are better than him.
And when I said holding this, I mean when they held the push from MKP and OptimusPrime from KR server. Want me to show those replays?

i nvr said wolf wasnt wrong.. im saying your overly simplified infomation of what wolf is saying is wrong

In case you all miss it, that build just exploits protoss' lack of ground Anti-air. just about every time the protoss player will counter the tanks and marines and do nothing about the banchees. I feel like it is VERY holdable someone needs to just figure out a way to have enough anti-air and be able to hold the tank marines. it's also why we dont really see it in any other matchup.
|
As a protoss I hate this build also, but we shouldn't cry about balance until there isn't much room for improvement. I noticed several errors in micro, such as allowing his colossus to waste a few shots on an unfinished bunker, rather than making sure it was hitting the largest clump of marines to the north flank. The day we see a top pro respond quickly and decisively with acceptable micro, and still get beat by it, that may be used as a balance complaint; not this.

Loner is not the best Chinese Terran. That's just a myth probably born from how Tastetosis called him the best Chinese player a while back.

Also, if you guys want to watch some Protoss (not CombatEX) play against 1-1-1..I "think" the games were: MC holds it in up/down against Ryung on Crossfire. Huk holds it in up/down against MMA on Metalopolis. (yes, SlayerS love doing technical builds in all matches ) Both Ruyng and MMA was so indecisive in those games, like they wait there for 15 mins with siege tanks just stood and watch the Nexus alive, plus their control was so bad. The build wasn't specific as now.

Vanvan could have stopped that easily he just attacked when he really shouldnt.
why do you give yourself the freedom to talk when you clearly never faced that push, and, 2, dont even understand the fact that if the bunker finishes, he just cant attack...at all? So far, by the games seen, if we consider vanvanth a bellow average player, and if we look at how Ganzi played, he is really bad. he, in fact, is only here for 2 reasons. First, he can do a 1-1-1 allin build (as shown in the qualifiers) and second, he can play a good tvt, when it so happens there are 50% terrans in the league so far. I do not consider a player that can only play one matchup competently a good player.
