Cant believe theres so much hate in these threads while we're so blessed with a wonderful event, with wonderful games. Last warning, whine and insult the players or commentators? See you. |

<3 teamliquid god dang it people you can not freaking time to make a drop to take out charge 1 second or so before finishing so that part was purely luck. Yes it was smart of select to target it down, but to say it wasn't luck when white-ra got charge destroyed MC style then idk what to say.

It was totally White-Ra mistake when he saw the 2 dropships and didn't even return to defend the main. Select wasn't even going to drop into the main after his dropships were spotted by White-ra's pylons. But after sniping the pylon from the low ground, Select saw no units from Whitera going to def the main, so he drops anyway. Still a bit lucky for select but White-ra's carelessness cost him the game.

Well he does have a habit of being the biggest hypocrite in the community.

If drinking NOS makes me play like Painuser, I'll stick to Red Bull.

Select and White-ra both played well, but I really hate seeing their entire series come down to, "Will Charge research be stopped when it's less than a second away from completing?" That's just an insanely awful way to end White-Ra's fight from the Loser's Bracket.

Thanks Blizzard. are you kidding? I am literally so sad right now b/c Whitera lost but don't say it was balance. It was pure greed. He didn't make units for like 2mins while transitioning to colossi. I was actually screaming at my computer for him to make some units for like 45 seconds. Gawd i feel so emo FML I still <3 u whitera Whitera floated 1000 minerals during the last fight. I'm guessing he didn't have the production to actually produce as fast as his 3 base income was. The pylon that got killed at the very end there had a full warp in cycle. So that wasn't his macro slippin.

On inside the game he was saying how weak boxer was and he was glad to be in his group. Idra too.
Boxer than ran the whole group solo.

I think the bad taste in people's mouths comes from the fact that White-Ra won 10 straight BO3's to get there, Select got his ass kicked for the first two days (going 1-4), and now with one BO3 Select is moving on. Basically, 10+-1 loses 1 BO3 to 1-4 and 1-4 gets to move on up. Not very satisfying to watch, even if Select played well in that particular series.

Gawd i feel so emo FML I still <3 u whitera he wasnt lacking in units though, when the fight started outside his gold he was at 134 supply with select barely over 100, army was probably about the same... he just needed the upgrade to finish to be honest. If his chronoboosts weren't perfect then thats what lost the game (or he could have just defended the drop but thats a guessing game really). He was definitely making units the whole time I just checked the rewind with my HQ pass. Problem is zealots are completely useless without charge and without forcefield Oh lol I feel silly I guess with all the excitement I just lost my head.
Man isn't it nuts how excited u can get about SC2? What a great game lol.
I was literally jumping up and down and yelling when Whitera held off the push on shak plateau and kept his third.
Ah well, I think the reason I'm so disappointed is b/c I feel like Select can't beat the people he has to to make it to the top 4 whereas Whitera could definitely beat slush, kiwi and mma to get there(obv mma would be hard but doable). Also It would have been such an awesome story for him to make it after the DQ.
Sigh... Select is literally Whitera's Kryptonite he knocks him out of so many tourneys...

Ugh lucky select...
Had much rather seen WhiteRa advance .

<3 teamliquid You conveniently missed out "WhiteRa played so greedy" "WhiteRa low apm cost him the game" "I'm getting sick of all this WhiteRa shenanigans" "SeleCT outplayed WhiteRa" *sigh*
You forgot "White ra is such a nice guy '"Select has incredible micro" There are a lot of nice things not all negative.

Would the people screaming about how lucky Select is for taking out the Council one second before the upgrade finished also be saying WhiteRa was really lucky if Select had taken it out one second after the upgrade finished? Either way, someone gets "lucky" by the weird logic people are using.
Personally, I saw WhiteRa mess up on defending Select's well timed drop and Select sniping a key structure just in time because of it.

Honestly i think the whole setup for mlg is bad. The players who play in the pool have such a huge advantage compared to those who have to play a ton of games to go through the brackets. All players should play on equal setting in the tournament imo. Giving some players a huge advantage is just unfair. And doing extended series is just plain stupid. Only the results of the current series should matter not earlier series. Dont get me wrong i think mlg is a great event, but they should really change the rules and settings to make it equal for all competing players.

white ra would have won that last game is Select wasn't so lucky. He won with pure luck. Thats it. If charge finished Select would be in big trouble.
