Cant believe theres so much hate in these threads while we're so blessed with a wonderful event, with wonderful games. Last warning, whine and insult the players or commentators? See you. |

LOL wait you mean practicing a lot with really good players means you will place high in tournaments? THIS IS CRAZY This. I really wish people would stop acting like Korea is some magical land that pumps out talented players. You don't need to go to Korea to train and get better. All it is is diligent, smart practice and discussion. Not 3 hours a day, 1/3 of which is streaming ladder games. The notion that "it's all because of Korean training," is absurd. That kind of work/training ethic can be applied anywhere.
Wrong. If you don't have quality practice partners/efficient practice, you won't get up to Korean level. You simply need to practice with players at Korean level to become as good as them.

That old school muta ling bling isn't cutting it. People still make a good point, MVP had a lot of tanks, not sure if the infestors would've been able to get those key fungals down. But I mean there's really nothing I can find to say "that's what DRG should've done", he just got straight up outplayed...
True. Sometimes in a matchup no player really makes any glaring mistakes. It's just that one player just completely outclasses another. 2 time GSL champion vs code B hyped player who is good but hasn't made a big breakthrough. I'll go with the one who has the proven results.

The thing about mvp that makes me love him so much, is his play is just so damn solid and standard. He's always like "nah i don't needa cheese or use any gimmicky strats, I'll just play standard straight up by the book and kick your ass cuz im better than you".

I'll just let the spoilers fill me in. Oh noes, MLG has brilliant matches, I must watch something else? Why are you watching pro Starcraft again? What? You do realize that Im stating that Id rather watch Evo over this. Perhaps I watch MLG to see the contention between foreigners and koreans. If I wanted to watch all koreans I can always watch GSL. You find the coming matches brilliant YOU watch it. I forgot we watch the games we love because of the people playing them, not for the skill and gamesmanship involved...
Read my post about TvT. I would be fine if there was at least some semblance of racial (zerg/toss) diversity at the top. Sure all korean finals would not be as fun but if I go on watching TvT over and over and over....

You are correct. I could never see a foreigner win GSL because they would have to face koreans the whole way. And there is even more better ones in GSL right now.

how can people still say terran is weak? :')
Look at foreign terrans.... need 2 say more? You need to have korean skills to win something with terran. its just harder to win as terran when you're bad.

DRG didn't use infetors in any of the games(except game 1 where he had only one and it was too late). Muta/ling/bling is a terrible unit composition because one wrong move and you pretty much lost the game. DRG knows better than you when to make mutas and when to make infestors. Infestors is not a universal solution to ZvT. Dumb post. If MVP scouted infestors: 1. siege tanks slow push 2. makes ghosts
Exactly, which isn't necessarily too bad for zerg because that slows the terran's push down enough to safely take the third in most situations, and the zerg needs the saturation of the extra base to compensate for terran's ability to oversaturate via mules on fewer bases.
A transition into mutas is still possible to force more AA.
The advantage of infestors over banelings is the range -- top level Korean terrans are just so damn good at picking off banelings before they can deal any damage. Marines have to stay near their siege tanks with infestors on the field.

The winner of Rain and Ganzi plays the winner of MMA and DRG.
The winner of that match plays Boxer.
The winner of that match gets a Code S spot.
This may be a bit more complicated because I don't believe Rain wants (or maybe isn't eligible?) a Code S spot. wait so if boxer wins this, not only does he go into the finals but he ALSO get a code s spot?!!
If Rain gets to the Loser Bracket Final BoxeR gets a Code S spot no matter what the outcome of his match against MVP will be!

At colombus the crowd would cheer for every little probe kill or other insignificant things, we can hear the crowd they just don't seem as active to some people. Hearing a boxer chant is always cool though .
