Cant believe theres so much hate in these threads while we're so blessed with a wonderful event, with wonderful games. Last warning, whine and insult the players or commentators? See you.

Can you answer me a question?

Out of 9-12, idra was seeded the farthest (for making top 2 of his group)

Does that make him 9th place?

9th place gets 490 points while 12th gets 400

This.

I really wish people would stop acting like Korea is some magical land that pumps out talented players. You don't need to go to Korea to train and get better. All it is is diligent, smart practice and discussion. Not 3 hours a day, 1/3 of which is streaming ladder games. The notion that "it's all because of Korean training," is absurd. That kind of work/training ethic can be applied anywhere.

Top 6 = 6 Koreans. Expected, but still well fought by Huk and Naniwa to get to top 8. Not sure how they rank them below 8, and who exactly will get the Code A invites.

Milkis spawning in the middle position, JP on the eastern position.

A fast translation from Milkis into Korean but a slight delay back into English.

Milkis finishes the KR -> EN and hits the EN -> KR with an EPIC timing! Mvp responds in a gosu fashion and JP is left wide open. Milkis swoops in with a gosu translation about Mvp loving BoxeR and JP is left with no more question producing structures. He squeezes one last attack but Milkis is prepared and with the aid of Mvp, JP is forced to GG

lmao wtf?

LR thread bro!?

That was awesome! Great for the people unable to watch the stream, really showed the dynamics of the JPvM matchup.

Milkis is most well known for his EN v EN matchup but he showed that he has spending a lot of practice time; possibly with Phosgene, on his KR v EN matchup. The improvement is impressive :p

False. MMA/BoxeR/DRG/MVP can't be awarded a Code A spot because they entered MLG through GSL player exchange, rest of the koreans can. That means GanZi has secured a Code A spot already. Also, currently MMA/GanZi/DRG/BoxeR are the candidates for the Code S spot.

Homestory Cup 3?

Dreamhack Summer 10?

Jetlag?

Both won by HuK, who flew from... Oh yeah, Korea.

He had an extremely lucky path through Dreamhack though. Would've gone quite different if he was facing Bomber instead of Moon, and even then Huk played kind of bad in the finals and just died when he didn't have Moon do retarded all-ins.

Get out with your logic and thinking

People still calling Moon bad again its like Rain this tournament, some players are always bad no matter what it seems.

Um, who said anything about Moon being bad. I said he won the straight up games and lost when he all-inned stupidly, and I doubt anyone thinks that Moon is better versus P than Bomber.

So let's see who will take the Code A spots:

- Ganzi (Non Korean-invite. Lives in Korea. Yep, 100%)
- Sjow, Slush, Ret, Idra (Can only see Sjow taking it)
- Haypro, Socke, Sheth, Kiwikai (No on Haypro and Sheth. Maybe Socke and Kiwi?)
- Cruncher, TLO, Select, Moonan (Yes on Moonan and maybe Select as well)

So probably Ganzi, Moonan, and one of Sjow/Socke/Kiwi/Select.

But Ganzi isn't eligible I think ?

The Code S spot is still up for grabs. I love Boxer, but I don't think he can beat MVP. If Boxer does lose to MVP, then here's the situation.

The winner of Rain and Ganzi plays the winner of MMA and DRG.

The winner of that match plays Boxer.

The winner of that match gets a Code S spot.

This may be a bit more complicated because I don't believe Rain wants (or maybe isn't eligible?) a Code S spot.

wait so if boxer wins this, not only does he go into the finals but he ALSO get a code s spot?!!

Depends who else is in the finals with him. If it is someone else with code S already he will have it guaranteed. If it is someone like DRG or MMA then he will need to win the whole thing.

He can. He wasn't a Korean-invite. Boxer, DRG, and MMA can't win it since they were seeded into the pools. Ganzi won his way up from the open bracket, so he can take the Code A spot.

Try all the fans of the other players..

Just becuase Barcelona got some of the world best players doesnt mean Im gonna watch them play. Welcome to sports btw

NN all hope boxer win it all

That just means your not a real football fan.

I like baseball but I'm not a Yankee fan.

Guess I'm not a baseball fan.

Darn.
you're not, koreans can offer the best starcraft in the world right now , if you're not interested in watching high quality games because you wanted that foreigners, with lower quality games to duke it out, you're not a starcraft fan.
personalities are important dont get me wrong but they dont mean everything

I'd also like to add that Starcraft:BW and Starcraft 2 have a major difference in that in starcraft 2 people shouldnt worry about "Korean vs. Foreigner" even tho this is fun to have a rivalry from SC:BW the big thing is that SC2 is a INTERNATIONAL game and not seperated by nationalities unlike BW where koreans lived in korea and foreigners never saw/heard from them other than in streams watching OSL/MSL guys just enjoy the games they will be epic. Who cares if top 6 is korean they share the same passion we do. So the big thing im trying to say is: Why can't we all be "starcraft 2 players"?

People root for their hometown players.

You and a hundred other posters can pretend that logic and love of the game dictates who people want to win. It's just not true. Foreigners want to see foreigners do well. It's a big deal to a lot of people to see our own get completely shut out in brutal fashion.

That is actually not universally the case. Many 'foreigners' inc myself root for koreans over foreign players.

If that is what it looks like for one of the best zvt player to play vs terran than zergs are doomed.

I think i went pale watching game 3

On such a small map like Xel Naga, against an opponent that plays just perfect, zerg is doomed I guess.
On bigger maps where the Zerg has an easier time expanding and his counter attacks are much more of a threat, it's a different story.

Too boring to watch / coin flipping.

The mutas did absolutely nothing in that game, MVP was so good at having marines in the right place at the right time, that the mutas did absolutely nothing, next time he needs to go infestors instead, fungals would help so much more in those big battles and I think burrowed infestor harass would be way more effective. Idk maybe I'm wrong but I didn't think those mutas did jack shit in that game 3 and were a total waste.

yeah counter attacks dont mean shit when the terran has perfect macro and another army waiting by the time his push reaches zerg
