But Hongun beat MC. Therefore, Hongun is the best.

NesTea beat HongUn, therefore NesTea is the best. Finally a true statement!

Well, to be fair, SC history has always been terran favoured. 4/5 bonjwas are terran, now >50% of GSL players are terran. It's history rewritten.

At the very top the line is thinner though, Nestea, MC and MVP are still the top 3 players imo, and between them it would always be a tough call.

It's not a tough call at all. Nestea is clearly the best. But according to TL Nestea is imba and Zerg is SOO underpowered.

Hmmm... I'd agree NesTea is the best but they'd be very close series. For instance, MVP's TvP ain't so good so MC might have a decent chance (even though MC's PvT is less than stellar), while NesTea would probably roll MC, and get owned by MVP as per usual. It's a closer triumvirate than it looks like.

MVP is quite bad at TvP relatively speaking. Kiwikaki took a game off him and protosses are what sent him into Code A. MC probably has the best, or at least one of the best, PvT's in the world so that either says a lot about other Korean protosses or says a lot about the matchup at that level.

Alicia has better PvT than MC. MC's always been very shaky in PvT, although lately he seems to be recovering with heavy gateway play. I still think he'd have good chances vs MVP though, since his TvP is by far his worst matchup. All in all, imo

NesTea > MC > MVP > NesTea

The top 3 are really close in skill, so it's a tough call. NesTea wins by consistency though.

No way, MC is better in PvT, stastically and just looking at game play. What terran has Alicia beaten that MC wouldn't?

Just looking at gameplay, Alicia's PvT looks a LOT better than MC's. Statistically, Most of MC's wins vs T come from Open GSL era, when his PvT was actually invincible, while Alicia has recently defeated NaDa, MarineKing and MVP, the latter one in a Bo3 series, pretty nice record.

he got 3-0'd by optimus prime though. atmitedly optimus has some great pvt though.

MC got crushed by polt too though. Polt has sick TvP

Polt=Optimus. Mind=Blown?

That was the point. Both Alicia and MC lost to Polt so Alicia's loss to Polt can't be a factor when comparing MC's and Alicia's TvP.

Players still riding the qualifying wave from a while back, while *better* players fall in the open bracket. Flawed system @ MLG

Why.. he doesn't deserve it. So many better players in open bracket.

plz tell me the 4 second places on the OW bracket gets much more points than him and EGMachine, which lost all of their pool games (i think)

It's actually VERY DISSAPOINTING not watching great games happening on the open bracket and watching incontrol get owned by Idra for example :/

Na man, they are higher up in the rankings, therefore more points, aka stay in championship bracket for another good ol' 0-5 next time. MLG should really look at changing the championship bracket point system as it is a bit ridiculous at how hard it is to get knocked out of the pools, its like just as hard as firing a teacher.

It's crazy how much MLG has redeemed themselves in the eyes of our community. Never woulda thunk that MLG would be putting on such a crazy good tournament.
