But columbus, the first thing that comes to mind (besides MMA MMA!) was the first game with idra and mc where mcs probe dies and the crowd went completely nuts. It set the mood for the whole tournament, and everyone was (as day9 says) oooing and aweing at the right times with every little thing with any players. This one has a lot of energy, but mostly for the popular players.
Agreed, but columbus was really amazing. You cant out-do yourself every event every time. This event overall has been very exciting and very good. But is it a columbus topper? Probably not.
Also missing tastosis, so theres that...

nooooooes! Not yet. He's 2-0 down because of extended series, the guy he's playing now is the guy who he was meant to play in the first round of open bracket. mwhaha revenge for getting white ra dqed! go white ra! White-Ra got interviewed and said his opponent didn't want to take the DQ, but the refs forced it. As it should be. The DQ should never be up to the other player.
100% agreed. Harsh, yes. But should never be left to the player, thats just an unfair position to put a player in.

The situation being Whitera was 20 minutes late? The refs need to start the matches without excessive delay. There are hundreds of games going on this weekend.

White-Ra basically has straight PvT (Major, Trimaster, QXC/Demuslim/dde) which is good for him .

There are hundreds of games going on this weekend. 10 minutes late. If he was Korean there's no way they would have done the same. WhiteRa still travelled across the world and stayed in America for 2 weeks just for this tournament, just to get DQd despite offering to play 0-1 down (off-race too I think?) and his opponent just wanting to play from 0-0. A 10 minute delay for one game wouldn't slow down the tournament in the slightest.

Nice play by KiwiKaki!
1-1 all tied up!

DQ aside: incredible manner from Epgimix, throwing the first two games away to tie the series at 2-2. Essentially a bo3 now.

All this awesome play, makes me wish i spent more time practicing and actually being good. And less time watching streams ^ ^

whats the community consensus on this casting duo? I don't want to bash either because they're both very nice and contribute a lot to the community but man it's a bore to listening to them and they don't offer any real insight. :/

Might want to think about what "bashing" means.

Not a great casting duo, but a decent one. Every time you think this is bad, imagine it could be gretorp. You'll feel better.

yup, make mlg eat their own rules. I'm sure if it was anyone else... the guy probably wouldn't have done that.

I continue to be impressed by the fluidity of Husky and Mr. Bitter, it feels as if they have been commentating partners for a long time. I think they have a good thing going.

Learn to read, I am not caster bashing here ( except for Gretorp, not casting now....). I'm saying they are doing a decent job.

Guys, you really need to put this DQ thing to rest. White-ra was late, and they do have a ton of games to get through. It was an official call made by official rules. About as clean and fair as it gets. Yes my sympathy lies with whitera, but it doesnt change the fact.
If we are going to take anything from this, I am greatly inspired by his opponent who threw 2 games to tie it up into a fair bo3. Thats commendable sportsmanship.

People stopped arguing about the DQ 12 minutes ago.
