We've confirmed that DDE and BlinG will play an hour earlier than the planned start time. We are currently having problems with DDE because he is unable to properly regionalise his SC2, having never played on the EU servers. Supposedly Windows Vista is causing him problems in this regard. Obviously this is a problem, since it would force BlinG to play all matches on US and if DDE won, he would also have to force MorroW to do the same. This is not ideal for fairness in terms of latency. If anyone has any suggestions to assist DDE in getting multiple copies/regions working on Vista or fixing the regionalisation tool, feel free to post in this thread.

OK DDE have you tried right clicking on the tool and running it as administrator / turning off the windows UAC? i heard its a real pain in windows vista, not so much with windows 7

these games reminded me why i love watching starcraft so much, at start i was let it play in the back ground while i play an old game windowed, after 1 game i just never looked at my game anymore

DDE, I was having a problem with this today, I'm running Vista. I put an exception for Starcraft folders on antivirus + PC restart. Try it.

TB this is how I recommend DDE can fix it. I hope it works/helps:

1) Download the EU SC2 Client. This is available here (scroll down from WoW to SC2): https://eu.battle.net/account/download/index.xml

2) He will need to install 2 copies of SC2. Contrary to popular belief, just outright installing 2 copies is much easier if you have the internet speed to download it fast. His main SC2 (NA/Korean) should be in Program Files/Starcraft II as normal. He should launch the EU SC2 client installer and set the install location to be his desktop, not the default pathway. This will install the second copy (the EU copy) to his desktop. This is very important, if it goes elsewhere it may cause problems.

3) When it is fully installed, launch SC2 from the new icon on his desktop. Do not launch it from his usual icon, use the new one as it is specifically for the new EU client. Right click it and select run as administrator. Patch game fully.

4) Load game, input EU account details, log in, done.

to everyone involved in this: good job. the quality of the games that were played today is just astonishing, TB + apollo works fantastic for me, minimal downtime between games, perfect. I was unsure about the prize pool distribution that even without winning a single match earns you $100 but after seeing this I can't present any valid counterargument for TB's reasons to do so. I was expecting this event to be amazing but it turned out to be an underestimation. so much that I am actually worried about day 2 if the awesomeness can keep going for as long

here's hoping that dde can get the other client working :x

Well I hope people now understand why I decided to pay everyone. We try and make this tournament as fun and comfortable for players as possible. We show them respect by ensuring they are compensated for their time and in return, they play unbelievable games because they WANT TO BE THERE. I don't think anyone can honestly say that a single player today did not deserve to be paid. This model works, it brings out the best in people, it's positive and when everyone is happy, players, viewers and casters, we have a great time.

Looking forward to Day 2.

I had someone help me out with using relocalizer. He had to go thru so much stuff in order for me to got on EU. After I was able to get on EU I wasnt able to go back to NA by myself. So this guy had to adjust stuff for like 3minutes in order for me to go back to NA. Something i dont think i can do T.T
