Sheth beat San in Code A, so he counts.

Hard to say, Naama and Fenix took down TOP in Dreamhack Winter 2010. If you look back at some of the older tournaments you might find some surprising ones.

slush beat moon at mlg

Also, Ret and TLO made it through at least 1 round in the GSL opens. Did haypro?

He made it through qualifiers at least.
Tyler, Sjow, Moonglade and Socke has also beaten koreans at a lan.

white-ra is certainly entertaining but Select is more consistent.
Howvever, in a best of 3, anything can happen I guess.

My money is on Select though.

pretty much everyone. we're tired of koreans.

The racists out as usual. Support the player not his nationality.

Nationalism is one of the greatest forces behind sports. Non Koreans fighting!!!!

100% agree all sports are based upon where the team is from get off your soap box you think I like the Detriot Lions because the way they play? Of course not its because I grew up and live in metro Detriot. Ever heard of the world cup or hey maybe the Olympics? Nationalism/state-ism/city-ism (I know those aren't words but you get what I'm saying) that is the whole bases of sports and fandom.

You'd be surprised.. the Detroit Lions are my 2nd fav team, despite living in eastern Canada.. I just like them, while they may not win as much, just a fun team to watch (esp with CJohnson, Suh and now Fairley)

Of course nationalism plays a big part in who someone would like (my two fav non-koreans are HuK and Kiwikaki) but when it comes down to it, its not the #1 deciding factor, just a big portion. I would root for Moon over Huk or Kiwi anyday, despite being Protoss AND Canadian.

Of course there are going to be other factors that go into it but IMO I don't have facts to back this up but I'm ,willing to bet the majority of a sports team fans are from the surrounding area/ state. Will you find Boston Bruin fans in Toronto sure but I'm willing to bet that most of Bruins fans are from the area/Surrounding area or have had some connection with Boston or the Surrounding area. Again no facts to back this up so if some one can prove me wrong or feels otherwise let me know.

Select has been doing horribly lately 1-6 at columbus, watch his games vs cruncher. And don't cite his recent tourney win against an unknown foreign terran..

one thing that makes fungal so powerful is that when 30 air units are clumped and fungalled they will not auto-split themselves

air units naturally auto split themselves at all times pretty much, EXCEPT when they get fungalled

this means unlike storm you can micro out of, fungal actually takes all the clumped air units and stops them from spreading. and the autoclump mechanics of sc2 make it take sooo much fricken apm to spread vikings if they try to fight corrupters or mutas

Yeah but you're not supporting your country, you're hating on Korea. There's a big difference.

But let's be honest, the way it's divided, it's Korea vs the World, so I root for the world since I'm not from Korea. With Korea I share very little, with the (most of the) rest of the world I share the English language, and that's enough for me to root for them, because I understand them. Maybe I'm weird, but I mostly like the stereotype of Koreans crushing face to be broken, so I giggle, wiggle and smile whenever a foreigner takes them down.

There's a big difference between supporting your own and hating on another.

Yes, absolutely.

Those emotions are great, but people absolutely need to channel them positively. Be for someone, not against the other.

Root for Sen, for Darkforce, for White-Ra, not against Select, Zenio and Alive.

but select is actually from USA.. or are you supposed to root for white ppl before other foreigners?

it's a bit weird, if you consider select as a USA representative, then what about huk?
they're pretty much the same, just reversed situations. select doesn't have citizenship, grew up in korea, moved to NA a couple of years ago. Huk is a canadian, moved to korea a few months ago, etc.

See, a lot of the time I forget how solid White-ra is because he's such a personality, but then you see his results and you realize he's probably top five foreign Protoss players right now. SeleCT is definitely among the top of Terrans though, so this should be interesting.

His performance against Protoss has been less than stellar recently, hopefully he can pull out some good games.
