NASL FAILED HARD.
People MUST understand that if you ask money for a service you have to deliver the service. I, as a client, don't have to be happy just because I get to see StarCraft2 games.
So, a to do list for future events:
- don't start an event 2 hours late - don't start an event 2 hours late AND ignore the 35k of people like nothing is happening. - check the whole system and make sure it works. - AUDIO IS VERY IMPORTANT - commentators must be heard - don't make 10 minutes long intros - PREPARE FOR INTERVIEWS - focus the camers and don't move them - don't be aggressive with upset clients. THEY HAVE RIGHTS!
The list can go on. NASL has disappointed me. I don't want to tolerate anything. I want progress so I give feedback. With so many tournaments out there the competition gets higher and higher. Pump up the quality.
And people, remember, when you pay 25$ to see Transformers 3 on IMAX, a 300 million dollars movie, they never make you wait, they never have problems. This is business. You give money we give you service/products.
This post is meant to be useful, not for trolling. I am not hating, I am helping.

I love how MLG is all the sudden the greatest thing in the world when only a few months ago there were threads with HUNDREDS of pages that you could basically interchange with this thread.
Also, feel free to go back to the original GSL Open and read those threads. Plenty of issues there as well, ranging from being able to simply load the damn stream to getting the payment to work and the GOM player going.
The best news for the NASL is that people have the memory of a goldfish. If they fix this stuff by the end of tonight all will be forgotten and people will be off complaining about something else.

From the standard set by GSL, MLG and Dreamhack (even Homestory Cup) this is THAT bad. Its simply embarrassing (at least for me) that NASL hasn't learned from the other tournaments failures.
Things to improve upon: -System and Tech checks. Technical delays are not ideal but 2 hours... come on -Better Grand Final bracket system. A Simple Bo3 and you are out is horrendous. -Better audio. No ingame sound, uneven mic volume. -Let the players choose maps. -Better production, cleaner overlays (dont need a big bar at the top obscuring vision), better interaction (use the player cameras/booth cameras)

holy shit these booth scenes are straight creepy

Ugh I told all my friends that I couldn't hang out today.... for this? Bleh.
|
The two most annoying problems right now are shaky camera's and mics, those should be easy fixes in just getting better mics and buying a tripod. Hopefully this happens today, but it better happen by tomorrow.

if they just fixed the brightness its all good.

Pretty sure it's a photoshop. Boxer is almost legendary good mannered

I don't want to be bad or anything but, NASL needs to change their production crew.

LOL this is just unreal, can't believe how is this possible with so much money invested in venue and all.
