Koreans ROFL stomped NA in MLG and brought the hurt to Europe as well but Euros were shown that they have a lot to improve on.
Huk shows that hard work does pay off, but more importantly, a Canadian with the right amount of work and support can win. Nurture came out on top of the usually laughable nurture vs nature debate. Koreans still are the boss but will destroy them with love.
Tiny island nation Taiwan with an up and coming scene shows the world that their hero can hang with the best of them but they too have lots to look forward to as they improve.
But poor Idra and his fans (me included), I think its more frustrating that his favorite players Huk and MC finished higher then he did rather then him playing poorly/

So how good were the games? I was gone all day :[
The finals were horrible, rest was pretty good.
Oh shush. I didn't see the finals (was up until 4 am here watching the semi's then crashed), but a lot of the games were great. Moon vs Bomber was EPIC. Bomber v MC was on a knifes edge too.
Yeah, I said they were pretty good...
YOU NINJA EDITED AFTER I HIT REPLY! YOU MONSTER!!!
6 pool and all ins make for pretty damn exciting final, i was hanging off the edge of my seat. IMO way more exciting then macroing in your base all game.

He trains with koreans... his sith master is a korean... of course he'd have a good chance at fighting a korean with a 3-2 overall
His training with koreans doesn't take anything away from his achievement of winning the tournament. People have such biased views on TL that it hurts to look at all of it.
Congrats to Huk and to TL. Very good news for both of you :D!

IdrA didn't play poorly.
If you think Huk would have done better in the MC -> Bomber group bracket, you are probably mistaken.

We have an anti Huk person. The final games were exciting and worth watching. Well casted too.
"He didn't like the games I liked!!! Obviously he is a hate filled anti fan incapable of objective thinking!!!! 6 POOL R GUD!!!!" I didn't even say anything negative about Huk so don't know where that's coming from.
Man... Moon should have won. I woke up and I refreshed this page and i was kind of sad. at least moon looks happy in the picture. He also did better than I expected lol
very entertaining games... heh would the result have been different if huk didn't scout moon first? what if moon spawns bottom left / bottom right and huk scouts top left first, different results then?
Got to admit, my face screwed up like smelling bad milk when I saw the 6 pool. Really deflated the whole thing for me, and took out any sense of drama. I just knew he'd lost the second I saw it. If Huk hadn't scouted it immediately then maybe things would have been exciting, but as it was... meh.
You can't really get away from the bias issue with this game. Huk won game 1 with a bog standard, very non-clever 4 gate and people were hailing him as the master of the game in stream chat. To which someone pointed out that if Moon had been Idra it'd have been non-stop hate.
People were just desperate to see a non-Korean win after MLG (which they got). Personally, I just wish the 5th game had been a close run, competitive thing after a string of all-ins and that frankly bizarre game where Moon metagamed himself to death.
Though that said, it still beats GSL 4-0s any day.

Like MC's dual proxy gate in the last game vs White-Ra at the Dreamhack invitational?
They play to win. $16 000 on the line. If HuK didn't have faith in his late game over Moon, then I don't respect his 1st place any less for going strong early game pushes/cheese to secure a win. Even if it is somewhat less interesting to the average viewers...
