Sadly it seems I have to put this up yet again. Any of the following types of posts will be met with immediate bans:

Imbalance whine/Player bashing/Caster bashing/Stream complaining/Off topic arguing.

Not to sound like too big of a dick, but saying that isn't funny and it just makes you look bad. Plus I think HuK is considered to be more of a Canadian, though everyone who supports the Koreans is calling him Korean now since he did well.

you do know he was born in usa and moved to canada right? usa or canada chanting is fine. not a big deal.

I'm not discussing where he was born... but it just looks arrogant to "chant" USA here, especially when you know other people are going to get worked up over it (as you can see some people are saying "NO!! HE'S FROM CANADA!").

Nah, HuK is American.
He was born there.
I understand why he considers himself Canadian, because I wouldn't want to be associated with the US as well.

But still
He's American.

Yup, lived in America until he was 16-17 I believe, lived 2-3 years in Canada before moving to Korea for 6-7 months.

Well Moon doesn't devote nearly as much time as everyone else to SC2 seeing as he and the other Fox players are still playing WC3 professionally.

Moon still plays WC3? Didn't know that. If that's true, it's pretty amazing

its true he still plays WC3.

Clearly my comment was hating on America. Im sure TLO considers himself a pure American as well (/sarcasm)

That's enough evidence for me. Bake him away, toys.

So Koreans sweep top 5 spots in DH and dominate the rest of the world again. Yes Huk is korean and anyone who argues that is delusional. He's a product of korean training and honestly even if Huk had to play in a tougher group he would of still placed top 5.

So when foreigners fall out of the GSL, it's because the system sucks but when Huk bust his ass off and succeed, he suddenly became Korean? It sounds like a convenient excuse for the foreign community's lack of effort.

He's actually right in a sense. Huk is so skilled now due to living in Korea and playing in that environment. Its not opinion, its a fact

Let me just clarify my post a bit by saying that Huk made the most of living and training in Korea by having the work ethic and effort required to benefit from it. Hate to bash other players but look at players like Haypro who clearly didnt practice enough to make it work out in Korea. All props and congrats go to Huk for being a Code S player and winning DH. He still counts as a "Korean" player and thats just fact. Nothing to do with skin color.

Why the whole Canada v US debate?
Huk is a American borned Canadian who trained in Korea, playing on a team founded by someone in the Netherlands, and sponsored by an American company.

Shipping that gaming monitor back to korea is going to cost huk some $$$ :p

QFT

It's true to an extent. However I think people tend to notice the retarded statements like that more than the praise. When Huk won the thread exploded with a LOT of people cheering for Huk.

Yup. Him, SocceR, and Lyn. It's pretty incredible. (And kind of why I really like WMF's team.)

And now they're being joined by NaNi and ThorZain, two more ex-WC3 pros. Should be fun!

Look, just because a guy was the only undefeated player in his pools and wins the championship title with only 3 loses over the span of three days--two of those loses only coming from the final round in a best of five--does not mean he's a good player okay?

It's not like he's the only foreigner in Code S
It's not like he's won an MLG

Why call him a good player right?

Why do people keep insisting he's American? He gave up his citizenship to move to Canada, all his friends are in St. Catherines, he went to high school in St. Catherines. He's an American-born Canadian, which makes him Canadian. And in the end, does it even matter? No, he's still North American and beat two Koreans to win an international title.
