Sadly it seems I have to put this up yet again. Any of the following types of posts will be met with immediate bans:
Imbalance whine/Player bashing/Caster bashing/Stream complaining/Off topic arguing.
Stick to the games and enjoy the event and its free services and coverage. |

Idra has much stronger zvz, zvt, and similar if not slightly better zvp.
The only argument you can make is that Sen may be slightly better than Idra, in which I would be inclined to agree. But only because right now idra practising 3 hours a day.
No, he's not "much" stronger. That's an insane exaggeration. Period.
He might be a slightly better player and he's more famous and respected. But that's it. At the moment I find it very hard to compare them since IdrA has been fairly isolated in the US scene as of late.

The dreamhack.tv site leaves a bit to desire, where is the interviews, bracket links etc.
I know that the winter event is bigger and better than tthe summer event, but I don't understand why simple stuff that would lift the production couldn't be doon this time. Yeah agree. I feel like they gave other games too much focus when SC2 is the biggest game at the event and brings the most viewers. Sure they did it good for us at home with 5 streams but as you said, it feels like huge waste to not play ro16/ro8 matches in DreamArena when they it would be packed and they got the boots.
Are you absolute certain that SC2 brings the most viewers?

Yeah but no event has been absolutely perfect yet. MLG had some streamings problems but awesome stage action and fan interaction interviews etc. Dreamhack has the most awesome streaming quality and ALL games are being covered and casted, yet no interaction with the players and fans.

Im kinda sad that this tournament failed in the key areas. Its the ro8 and its pure online so far.
They dont play on stage, we dont get to see the players or anything. No interviews or anything. Crowd is dead because its not casted in a stage where the players are etc.
MLG was way way better in that area, and it was a better tournament overall.
Oh. I totally agree with you and I don't understand the reasons. Where are the post-game interviews? DH inv. had its imba couch and now nothin. 100% agreed. The couch was the most epic, I will never forget the host asking MC "MC...why are you so good?" and MC answering "good brain". Yeah, Also a good idea would be to spread the games a bit more. I know that there are already a gazillion games to watch but it would be cool if they have 4 streams (yesterday) that 2 streams always start at the hour (1100, 1200, 1300, 1400, etc) and that the other 2 streams start at the 30minutes past the hour (1130,1230,1330,1430) therefore, when there is a quick series you can grab another series that hasn't started yet. It would delay the tournament with 30 minutes.
I actually like this better than MLG.
Reason? I simply could watch more games.
Yes, there are some "small" Issues: Yes, "the Couch" is sadly missing.
Yes, the Crowd is not as energetic as the one at MLG... This is understandable due to various reasons: 1: Dreamhack is a Lan not a "spectator" Event. 2: We are not at the finals yet (during MC vs Idra the crowd seemed pretty energetic in the Tent?). 3: The (northern) European "temper" is somewhat diffrent from the US one, this also can be seen on concerts and stuff like this... In Europe it seems to take "more" to really excite the crowd (at least this is my impression from watching various events in various sports/concerts...).

The CODE-S drawing is already more fun then any DH stream.
seening the players etc is worth way more then just watching game after game after game...

That 30minute delay would have been a good idea. I think they did it like that at the Ro16 yesterday. Dunno if this was intentionally, but the Hasuobs-Game started 30 minutes earlier as expected, if i remember it right. Besides that i would have appreciated the tournament to start on friday and to end on sunday, so that a poor guy like me, who has to work at the moment, could follow the playoffs via stream. Anyway, thank you very much for the LR thread!

Calling it, MC v/s Canadian Mini-MC HuK. HuK will be second of course.

OMG I'm at work and can't watch MC vs Bomber
Why oh why Dreamhack won't you have the event from friday to sunday instead? This is the best day and I will miss out everything except the finals.

There are other games with tournaments running during DH aswell as LoL and CS etc. The finals and maybe semifinals aswell will be on a main indoor stage with booths I belive etc. Its not a 100% pure SC2 tournament and the organisation is probably having their hands full with alot of other things aswell as sc2. Well, LoL has both winner and loser interviews and it's done by Riot(company developing LoL) staff. Then again, I could never imagine Blizzard staff interviewing..

I find it quite ridiculous how many people here are trying to undermine Huk's achievements thus far. Something i found quite amusing is how some are saying "Huk is going to lose as he's finally playing a good player (July)." I understand people being biased and just hating on Huk but Socke is an extremely good player, did you guys not watch his group play which included players like Dimaga and Morrow? In the end the player who makes the least mistakes win, and today it what Huk. As for the July game i think it will be 50/50.

Obviosly when I say much better it is in relation to the fact that they are top programers. Idra is most certainly a tier above morrow in zvz and zvt.

if you want interviews and see the players hands-on you have to watch the homestory cup 3 thats this weekend. a lot of the players from dreamhack are going to be there and be together on a (kind of) small space. pair that up with good old german beer and you're going to have an epic event ^^
so mc bomber starting, nice i like mc but i want a terran going through too
