he made it very far in the tsl when they all assumed he would lose first round and he revolutionized the way PvZ is played popularizing forcefield usage (forcefield donuts). also if you watch his stream he consistantly beats top gm players on ladder. nasl / mlg etc.... cmon

Strong case, people keep mentioning Naniwa and Thorzain but personally I think it's something like

Before Dreamhack some people said Dimaga/Morrow too, but afterwards I don't think you can make a convincing argument that either. SaSe is someone to look out for though, I think he's improving so quickly...

You can't say anyone is the best foreigner at the moment because players have been giving strong performances at tournaments but failing to repeat consistently at the top.

Honestly, Bomber beat himself just as much as Moon beat him. Moon played really well though. Bomber showed much better games vs. July. I think the results would have been a lot different if the semis were Bo5 instead of Bo3. In a Bo3, it feels like an "any given Sunday" situation. If the players aren't significantly apart in skill, there's a good chance for some upsets.

Yeah, I was going to say the same. The community seems to overrate every player who wins a tournament, then forgetting him once a couple of months had passed.

In my opinion there have been 4-5 foreigners competing for #1 foreigner tag for a while now, players like HuK, Idra, Thorzain, Naniwa and Dimaga could all legitimately claim to be the best. Perhaps not every single day, but they're all consistently top players able to give the koreans a good fight.

The difference between Moon and July was that Moon managed to pin bomber back into his base in the macrogame, while July was pinned into his base by Bomber. Bomber was never allowed to play the way he wanted.

You are wrong - it's been on Day[9] stream all Dreamhack long.

The DreamArena stream is actually the Day9 stream for this final. There will be two streams here - SVT (Swedish Television) and Day9.

If you go to Dreamhack.tv and click on the StarCraft2 link you will see that it's justin.tv/day9tv that is embedded.

Top foreigners in my opinion would be IdrA, NaNiwa, White-Ra, HuK and ThorZaiN..and that's in no particular order.

Chinese players are good for sure, hard to say that with certainty though because to be fair they haven't competed enough to justify a "top foreigner" ranking. One international tournament (Stars War) is hardly enough.
