good job Grubyy, BTW if 4 players have been elimanted from this group and 4 more from every other group too and only 8 players can qualify through the open tournament that to me leaves an extra 16 players that need replacing?

It's not four from every group, it's 20 in total depending on the combined standings.

iirc only the bottom 3 of each division + the worst 7th I guess (since they said the last 16 players) are to compete to save their skin in NASL, only 8 of them will survive, the other 8 are out and replaced by the open tournament winners

SO sick for MorroW, leading all the way and misstepping the last match, really hope he makes it to through the bracket !

I remember them saying they would have a 2nd open tourney with 8 more spots didn't they? The second one can't get you to the finals but eliminated players from the first season can try to re-qualify in it.

There are 16 spots for the playoffs. Top 2 in each division advance straight to the 16 man playoffs, which is 10 players.

The 3 through 6 in each division play in a playoff-bracket style(20 players), where 5 players will advance to the 16 man playoffs.

The last remaining spot for the 16 man playoffs is reserved for the winner of the 1million man open bracket online tourney.

The bottom 16 of the NASL will not get an auto-invite next season.

Edit: for corrections.
Remember not only to say the right thing in the right place, but far more difficult still, to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment.

Oh Ok thanks for clearing it up, so this means Grubby if he wins a type of up and down can still stay in NASL if he wins? Or as very bad stats is he guranteed to go out and replace with 1 of the 8 qualifiers? Sorry for so many questions. lol

Four possible outcomes for NASL players post-season:
  1. Automatic spot into the Grand Finals at Ontario - 2 per division (10 players)
  2. Participate in Week 10 playoffs for the next 20 ranked players (20 players)
  3. Survive for next season for the next 4 players (4 players)*
  4. Bottom 16 players are eliminated from NASL (16 players)
*Top 34 players move onto next NASL season.

We were talking about the qualification for the next season, not for the championship finals.

Also, it is not correct that 3rd to 6th in each division go to the playoffs. The 11th-30th placed players in the overall rankings do.
