Oh don't get me wrong I despise extended series. Utterly retarded. That said, it is what it is, and the players know it. The series would not have played out the same if it had been a simple bo3. Might've been the same result, might not, definitely wouldn't have been identical.

The reason i was hoping Thozain would win is because he is the only player left other than ret who is clean vs the rest of the koreans. By clean I mean he would not be going into an extended series down 2-0and thus would have had the best chance to take the series. Idra shouldnt be down an extended series but is and Nani is down vs Losira.

If it was just a Bo3, MC could have used amazingly different strats or builds. When you're up 2-0, you can use different stuff because you have more leeway.

Why not? You can play the guy in groups stage, and then in the finals. By MLG standarts, that would be an extended series. The point is them playing twice in the same tournament.
