We will be moderating harshly in this thread. Think twice before you post. Things we are watching for: image macros, balance whining, "eagles", player bashing etc. We encourage civil and reasoned critique of our moderation - please post it in the website feedback forum.

Please don't complain about MLG stream quality or MLG itself. They work very hard to provide you with an enjoyable service.

Enough with the racism discussions, this is a LR Thread. Cut it out.

I really hope that some of the open bracket players will get seeded. I know that Thorzain and fenix probably will, but I don't think Major will sadly That open bracket is truly br00tal.

lol agreed

I think everyone can agree IdrA didn't bring his best. He had some weird read or feeling he could surprise MC with roach but he never did.

Wait. So you're saying Idra wanted to lose?

Serious question:

Do the code A slots get passed on down the rankings if players refuse to go?

As in:

FXO is moving to korea, so if it gets passed down far enough, will there be 3 FXO guys in code A next season? They have 0 reason to refuse a slot if it gets offered to them, seeing how they'll be attending code B qualifiers anyhow.

99% sure this is the method they use, and there might be a limit on how far down they go, but at least Sheth should end up with an invite

It's what I thought too, but maybe some of the foreigners placed above sheth will man up and accept a spot into code A, and just try it out. I'd love to see nani (for example) just trying out code A.

I cant see Naniwa or Thorzain turning it down since they have said they wanna go. Slush might and it might work its way down from there to an FXO player who would of course accept the invite.

No matter who turns out to accept it, nothing but respect for them. Especially after koreans pretty much showing the rest of the world (again) how you play this game, anyone accepting an invite to code A knows what they're getting into and knows what kind of opponents they'll be facing.

Can't wait to see some more foreigners in the GSL!

Yep. Guy lost to Huk. He was fortunate that Losira has second best ZvP in the world, but has worse ZvT than Idra.

He kinda played against Kiwikaki though... and it was kind of like his TvZs where he was behind but clawed back due to drops and stuff... only this time with Marauders as well.. IIRC.

Kiwikaki did not play to his standards...so sad...

The logical choice should be NesTea, MVP, SlayersMMA and whoever wins the super tournament.

NesTea - earns it by being the reigning GSL Code S champion.
MVP - earns it because he won the GSL world championships recently.
SlayersMMA - as reigning champ needs to be given the opportunity to go back and defend his crown.
Super tourney winner - self explanatory.

MMA will actually be a near Top seed now will he not?

I can't even imagine the rage that will be contained in that single video. Seriously, if I were kennigit, I would be a little afraid to be the guy that interviews him.

Seriously he's got balls to be the first person to tell idra how bad he screwed up there. Unless someone else broke it to him first, I remember someone tweeting that they didnt have the heart to tell idra yet (post match)

I'm sure idrA has watched the replay; I'm pretty sure they're available to players right after the match finishes. We saw Losira sitting in the booth watching the last finals game while MMA and the other koreans were up on stage at the end.

The fact that someone actually voted for this makes me seriously considering moving out of my continent...... jesus christ....

That is kind of a disrespectful reaction to someone's reasonable opinion. While I think MLG should be open, I don't see any drastic issue with the idea of a North American only tournament to determine who is the best player in NA. In fact such a thing exists, it's called the WCG US finals. Should I be tossed into the ocean because I like the WCG national tournaments?
I like the way the walls go out. Gives you an open feeling. Firefly's a good design. People don't appreciate the substance of things. Objects in space. People miss out on what's solid.

Have to say, all in all, it was the best tournament I've watched. The fantastic games by MMA were a pleasure to watch, and the crowd agreed.

And it seems I've officially become a nerd today. I shed my first nerd-tear (just one) when the crowd was chanting MMA's name. It was an amazing experience, and makes me appreciate SC2 and the community/players it all the more.

And an few minutes before that, a video that shows MMA shooting his own CC with the crowd going OHHH after every tank shot.

Seriously one of the best moments of Starcraft that I've ever seen. The crowd + Day9's reactions were priceless.
A sound mind in a sound body, is a short, but full description of a happy state in this World: he that has these two, has little more to wish for; and he that wants either of them, will be little the better for anything else.

They already have the ipl...segregating tourneys will only lead to the skill gap getting bigger and sc2 going the way of bw in the foreign scene. Havent we learned anything from the past?

They'll probably bring a legend (July raging through the open bracket was so awesome) and an up and comer (Don Rae Gu? Alicia?).

Getting the MLG invite is going to be something that Koreans are going to be fighting for now.
