I think you're missing the part of capitalism where numbers of audience members equates to the amount of bankroll you have.

What kind of progress will happen in the West if you just disallow Koreans? You know how weak that would make the rest of the world seem?

THERE WERE FIVE KOREANS IN THIS TOURNAMENT. JUST FIVE. It isn't like GSL sent out all 32 Code S players to overrun the tournament. The five Koreans came and they played their best. MC, a Korean, has been the person who has interacted with the crowd the most out of any players.

5 Koreans had their tickets paid for, could bring interpreters, had accomodation paid for, got given seats into the top 16 (with exception of July) that other westerners had travelled around the country to get points for, and they're required to be here for 3 days for $5k first, $3k second, and $2k third. As opposed to code A, which is a month long tourney, for $1500 for first place. Read below for my reasoning...... Even if I did pick up the support of an extreamist, I feel my point is still very solid.

Just like I buy the items with the "Made in Australia" tag over those made in China, I feel we should support the NA scene more than we did at MLG Columbus. Either that, or make it equally viable for foreigners to go to Korea, as it is for Korea to come to NA
(3 days for $5k, opposed to 1 month for $1500 in code A)

This should be on the front page of TL. If Koreans come into the western tournaments and take all the money then the western scene is dead. Players like Naniwa and Thorzain could not afford to attend these tournaments if they had not won previous ones. In the future those types of players simply won't show up, because it will be a given that the Koreans will win.

Alright. Let's not allow Koreans into the MLG. Let's give the money to the players who truly aren't the best.

That happens all the time really.

Sports (not just eSports) that a country is not good at slowly fades out of popularity in that country, which means less tournaments, which means less skill and talent. It's like a vicious cycle. People like their own country's players. BW never went beyond a niche scene in the West with a viewership in the mere thousands. WC 3, however, had a huge following in Europe because of stars like Grubby.

Which path will SC 2 take? I think it remains to be seen. I don't think we should judge based on one MLG though.
