Okay we're going to start cracking down on people bashing players for no reason. You don't have to like every player, but at least show some respect. (as of page 402)

They had to shut down the rewinding-tech sometime yesterday as it was causing problems with the live stream. I don't think we'll get a big saturday vod before the sunday games begin.

For example, if MMA loses his series to Idra, why does July still have to win two series against MMA? July lost against MMA 0-2 in the Pool Play. If July and MMA play each other again at any time in the tournament, they no longer play a BO3, but a BO7, with the score from the previous matchup (0-2 included) being the starting score. They would have to play *up to* 5 more games. Consequently, July would need to win 4 more times to qualify for the next round. He also can't lose more than once, because if he does, MMA goes to the next round.

np I will go into it a bit more for ya! 1. July came into MLG as a newcomer so he was delegated to the Open Bracket with the rest of the players who did not seed high enough to immediately start out in Pool Play. On the other hand we have folks like EGIdrA who were given immediate spots into Pool Play for their high seeds. 2. Within the Open Bracket play, a player could win 5 straight matches (BO3 x 5) and get a spot in Pool Play. Or he could lose and fall straight into the Losers Bracket. Even if a player in the Open Bracket loses his first match and falls to the Losers Bracket, he can still become MLG champion, but of course he must pay for his early loss with more games than lets say a player who won in the first round of the Open Bracket. Note: There are two Losers Brackets. There is a Losers Bracket for the Open Bracket and now there is a Losers Bracket for the Championship Round of MLG. The losers who could not make it out of the Open Bracket, but won in the Open Bracket-Losers Bracket are pretty much sent to another Losers Bracket (lol it is really hard on them because they had to play so many games just to get a spot in the Championship Round-Losers Bracket, THEN they have to play a shit ton more to get to the Finals). 3. July won all his matches in the Open Bracket so he did not have to go through the grueling process of fighting through the Open Bracket-Losers Bracket stage and went straight to Pool Play. 4. Now that July got a spot within a Pool Group, he must now face every Pool player in his group to determine the final pool rankings. This happens on the 2nd day. On the first day, all the initial pool players within a group play each other once. Thus, the 2nd day is pretty much "beatdown" the scrubs who come out of the Open Bracket Day. Last year, Naniwa came out of the Open Bracket and took out ALL his beaters. This year, none of the Open Bracket winners were able to take the top spot within their Pool Group. 5. Thus, July ended up in the Championship Round-Losers Bracket because he could not place first in his Pool Group (MMA beat him) and could not get a direct seed into the Championship Round-Winners Bracket. 6. But, because of the fact that he did not drop any games within the Open Bracket Stage and also due to his 2nd place finish within his Pool Group, he does not have to play as many games compared to those who may have lost within the Open Bracket Stage and ended up clawing their way through the Open Bracket-Losers Bracket and into the Championship Round-Losers Bracket. 7. To be honest, the Championship Round-Losers Bracket winner is the player that cannot be taken lightly. Even though it is a losers bracket, the player that emerges from this group will generally have played much more games against a variety of opponents than the winner of the Championship Round-Winners Bracket. Does this help or is it more confusing? Sorry for typos, too sleepy to be perfect =( 2:30 AM here

The people who won in the openbrackets are now in the loser bracket. And in the final match there will be the winner of the winner bracket vs the winner of the loser bracket? But what happend to the 2nd-4th gamer in the groupstages? They are out? //EDIT: Ah okay, I was just to slow ![]()

Because of their first result, July already has to play FAR more games, having the extra handicap of extended series as well on top of it seems kind of... wrong, I don't know.
