The lag could potentially have affected both players adversely.
Example: Incontrol starts lagging just as he's about to put down nexus. Then his probe idles for no particular reason (LAG), for about 7-8 seconds before incontrol is able to put down the nexus. To me it looked like he shift queued the production of the forge during the lag to ENSURE his forge timing wouldn't be totally screwed up. You could see the frustration on incontrol's face during that lag spike. Nexus first build orders may hinge on SECONDS, and if losira was to send his lings straight towards incontrol's base, incontrol might have been in trouble.
What happened? The game was paused. Losira accidentally rallied his first 4 zerglings to a mineral patch in his main. It took him 3 seconds to notice.
Immediately afterwards Losira forgot an overlord at 26/26. Was unable to make an extra queen for 30 seconds. Had larva idle for ~10 seconds.
What happens next? This mistake compounds into losira feeling pressured to use all his larva to drone up as opposed to making 6-10 lings to bring down the rocks to his third.
Consequently Losira has to drop a "macro" hatchery while being at around the ~40 supply mark. A hatchery that I can almost guarantee would have gone up at his 3rd was it not for the compounding of several screw ups caused by the lag.
What I'm trying to get at is: Incontrol could've just as easily have been screwed over by the lag. There is nothing dignified or professional about forcing players to play out a game in those kind of conditions. He didn't handle the lag better/worse than Losira. That's the nature of lag. Random luck will decide who gets screwed over.

I've got both red & blue up and running.
The USA does have very shitty internet. Its why I have to watch both stream on LQ instead of both on HQ.

how do you lower the volume of the ad?

hahah i thought Losira was about to BM Incontrol:X)

And people are going to blame MLG for this too. Well, it is not bnet's fault... LAN would still fix this issue (the internet there wouldn't have to do EVERY single series being played) Well that's not gonna happen. Events in EU and KR don't have lag issues, it's obviously on MLG's end. Wow you're ignorant. No it's not MLG, internet in NA is shit compared to everywhere else. Where I live having 1 mbps is great, most people have way lower.
Where the heck do you live lol! 1 mbps is awful

He obviously had a problem. He had an problem. It's called "emotions". It lost him a game he definitely had a chance at. Bullshit. If you were watching the same game as me. You would notice it started at the very beginning when he got up to 100 minerals and couldn't build a drone. Likewise it happened a few moments after that too. I can give you a list of more examples, but it's a mute point the game is over. Lag is one thing. Having gear problems is an entirely different story. With that said, he had no problems in his other games. On the blue stream he ripped TLO with ease. On the mainstage (red stream) there was obviously something wrong with his equipment. If he couldn't even build a farking drone properly, he should have paused the game.........How is that not obvious, seriously.....We knew he had keyboard issues, if he still had the same farking issues, then don't play the game out.

I've never seen so many people dickriding a person with such mediocre results! You seem mad. Just confused, really. The influx of new people that came with SC2 seem to be really gullible Neither of the games between Losira and Incontrol said much of their play. Losira clearly responded much much better in the second version of the first game, and Incontrol was on tilt and forgot a Zealot to block (he had one in the first version). Losira played well. In the second game, Incontrol played well, but Losira clearly had keyboard problems. Both players suffered from lag (both their expansions were screwed up). IdrA just beat MC who clearly has more results. Why did that happen? In your world made entirely of result statistics, IdrA would have lost. People like certain players and dislike other players. Being on Tilt was not the reason Incontrol lost game 1, he just got outplayed, very very outplayed. Game 2 Losira was clearly affected by something (maybe some keys not working, like overlord) he even built a hatch that early to waste his minerals, being supply blocked for ONE MINUTE is not the same as forgetting to block your ramp / leave sentries/zealots behind.
Having to restart after showing a cannon contain is very much one of the contributing factors to incontrol losing game 1. You're absolutely trolling.

i think people in here are not smart enough to figure out losira was raging and not playing to his full potential. not blaming incontrol for anything.
but people are ignoring the lag and keyboard problems are delusional.

I don't really understand this argument you're making. Just checking Liquipedia: Idra's won the IPL, MLG DC, and got pretty far in the GSL (ro8 off the top of my head). MC was a GSL finalist, there's no real question of why people would think he was a terrific player. Incontrol.... won a WCG USA once. For brood war. In 2007. It's not even a comparable argument.
Anyways, this is getting off topic. To address the games going on right now - jesus christ Idra is scary, I wonder who's going to be able to give him his first loss (if anyone)?

I'm not saying he played well or he played poorly, because the results of that game had absolutely nothing to do with Incontrol at all.
LosirA was supply blocked at 26 for about one full minute, and he was floating on 600 minerals for the first 10 minutes or so. It was ridiculous how terrible LosirA was playing. He was clearly on a tilt after all the keyboard and lag issues. He was probably fuming and raging internally at that point... any diamond-level opponent could've beaten him. Incontrol could've literally just A-moved units into LosirA's main and he would've won a lot sooner.
At one point, LosirA had 800 minerals, supply blocked himself at 26, no overlords in queue, no tech other than a spawning pool, and exactly 4 zerglings out in the map. It was ridiculous.
Well then he probably deserves to lose if he's that bad at handling his emotions after a simple keyboard malfuction. You wouldn't see Jaedong or Flash go on tilt like that. Agreed that LosirA definitely deserved to lose that game. But my point remains the same: Why the heck are fanboys drooling all over InControL for a supposedly "awesome" game #2? Even DJWheat and Day9 were going on and on about how well incontrol played, and completely ignoring the elephant in the room. They made exactly 1 mention of LosirA's poor play, and completely ignored the 1000 other mistakes LosirA made that game, or the fact that he was literally raging inside his booth in the closing minutes.
You wouldn't make a very good commentator. You have to ignore the elephant in the room. That's your job as the commentator is to highlight the positive part.
If Day[9] had said "Well, Losira's keyboard was screwed up, so that match doesn't count for anything really, but MLG is counting it as a win so let's move on.", what do you think would happen?
Seriously...
