Hello fellow TLers and Torontonians!

First off, I want to thank everyone who came to the TSL finals at Molly Bloom's. We had a successful showing at that venue and with the GSL Super Tournament finals fast approaching, we plan to continue growing e-sports in Toronto with another two corresponding events in June!

We plan to show the GSL Super Tournament finals at a location soon to be announced. Before the GSL, we are excited to announce we will be showcasing a GSL pre-show of Toronto’s best players duking it out in the semi-finals and finals. The pre-show finalists will consist of the best players Toronto has to offer, these players will have battled their way through the contestants in our "Quest For The Best" tournament on June 11th & 12th. Toronto, you get another chance to win fame as well as juicy $640 dollars prize pool!

The tournament sign-up begins now and ends on Monday, June 6, 2011 at 12:00pm.

The tournament will have two main stages. First, an OPEN online qualifier, and then a 64 player offline LAN tournament at the Infinity Cafe (link at end of post).

The purpose of the online tournament will be to find 32 of the most qualified players to square off against our 32 invites in a massive 64 player LAN. These invited players are the top 16 players from the Toronto LAN tournament and the top 16 players from the Toronto Starcraft League. Our invites have already proven they can display high level play and produced extremely exciting games.

The online preliminary matches are to be played on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (June7-9).
When you sign up, please state your name, in game name, character code, race, league, e-mail address, and what days you are available to play your preliminaries. Please sign up by emailing announcements@nerdesports.com, or if you are shy - send a PM :>

Players will be matched up with players who registered with the same "available to play date". Brackets will be up at 9:00pm on Monday, June 6, showing who you will be playing. A select number of players in each bracket will be qualified into the offline tournament.

The offline part of the tournament will be played on Saturday, June 11 and Sunday, June 12 at the Infinity Cafe.

The semi-finals and finals will be played at a venue to be announced located in the downtown core as a pre-show to GSL Super Tournament.

Looking forward to it! It should be really good times no matter what! XD
In SC1, ZvZ was Rock-Paper-Scissors... unless JaeDong was playing, then it was Rock-Paper-Scissors-JD, and JD beats all of them.

Can we watch the offline LAN preliminaries even though we don't have to pay the fee?

What if a player did not qualify on the online game, can he join the offline one?

Watching the offline preliminaries is fine and free, you're welcome to come :>
As for not qualifying and playing, there will probably be no shows and people may be seeded into the offline tournament, priority will be given to those who got the farthest in the open brackets.
