For the matches we aren't showing (for seeds 5-8) they are the following:
sixjaxCocoa > aTnDarkforce Fury > Strelok aTnDarkforce > Strelok sixjaxCocoa > Fury
5th Seed: sixjaxCocoA 6th Seed: RGlFuRy 7th Seed; aTnDarkforce 8th Seed: Strelok
Have you written out the seeding for the first qualifier yet? Only thing I know is Destiny made it to Ro4 and Vibe beat him 3-2.

Rooting against Lalush forever now. If he wants to be like Idra, he has to actually be a very good player. I doubt anybody but him thought that he deserved the win against WhiteRa.

Alex, please post the full results. These matches should be added to tl.net player database and only showing the winner isn't enough.

Lalush is a very good player with a solid understanding of the game. He wrote some great articles about SC2 here on teamliquid. He's not "another IdrA" and he doesn't try to copy him, because he's smart enough to have his own opinions about the game. I don't care if he's more "vocal" than other players, that's his personality and a bit of drama is always good for eSports. Lalush fighting!

I question his understanding given how he maxed out with roaches and then played quite passively like that. Yes, he has written some good articles. His strategy that game was irrational, though.

Cool drop play from LaLush though

Lalush BM'd White-Ra... that's a crime and should not go unpunished. I sincerely hope he loses every game from now on and slowly dissappears from the pro-scene.

Bad macro, bad reaction time. Poor decision making. very un bratok-esque

Agree. Also, he has been concentrating on drops a little too much, missed the starts of some pretty big engagements. Apart from that, quite good (y)

What the fuck is Lalush (not?) doing?

lol what was that? LaLush played well but at the end it almost seemed like he was trying to humiliate bratok or something.

BratOK killing his own thor ftw.
Nice Thor kill from BratOK.
Lalush STILL going Muta Ling vs Mech.... i really don't see how that will work out.
Edit: Super late Roach-switch from Lalush, Bratok already going to +3 vehicle weapons
Lalush is being ridiculously stubborn or ridiculously stupid.
Anyday now LaLush may want to think about transitioning out of roaches....
Do you know what doesn't beat 12 siege tanks? pure roach.
Mutas incoming for the sweep.. real question is if lalush can ever kill that PF
United States4796 Posts

Wowow, Lalush handled that so poorly. He was attacking with like half of his roaches at a time when he had that initial supply advantage. Also, staying on Lair tech at about 25 minutes is not how you want to go about doing things.
lazy ass zergs make an infestation pit is it really that much harder than holding the roach key??
He kept throwing his Roaches into over a dozen sieged tanks? I mean, I know he was ahead but not THAT ahead. He had that game and just couldn't close.
Joshy, supply differences don't mean that much between a mech terran and a roach zerg. BratOK was never that far behind, if at all.
rofl "i'm gonna watch this and laugh at myself".

Haah, nice comment Lalush.
Ugh... Lush really just threw that away
Literally choked on my ramen at that line.
i do not understand who lalush did not take that game, it just seemed like he was dragging his feet on purpose and eventually bratok just was able to roll him.
Lalush :"i am going to watch this and laugh at myself"
aaaand gg's.
Yes, you will... yes, you will
Hahahaha yeah.. do that... what a failure to go pure roach against 14 siege tanks + PF
Fighting tank heavy mech without broodlords = sadface zerg lol
United Kingdom38255 Posts
lol I think Lalush knows full well what went wrong there xD
I thought he was pretty close when he actually broke the tank line at the PF even if he had very few roaches left, but then he stayed on pure Roach reinforcements while trying to break it for good and things just got worse and worse for him as BratOK reinforced the position with huge numbers of tanks

If he had 20 something workers against 60....he's pretty behind
Lalush manages to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. LOL

When you're behind 65 to 20 workers yeah, you're pretty far behind. The only reason BratOK was able to come was because Lalush spammed roaches into tanks. If he had just continued to mass mutas or even tech'd to broodlords it would have been a pretty easy win.
Yeah worker count was pretty even if you include mules, but Brat had a hugely inferior army. Basically the only way he could've won is if lalush kept on making roach, which he did.
Most higher tech would've trashed brat. Heck, even nydus abuse would've worked vs such an immobile army.
Lalush had atleast 3 options there: Transition into Broodlords, Nydus the main, Zergling counter into the natural, baneling drop(?). He just stuck to running roaches into tanks; even a massive economy can't support that forever.
Was that a reference to Idra vs Cruncher or am I imagining things? =P In either case, looking forward to seeing some nice games

ehm, remembering broodwar mech terran vs zerg i can ensure u guys it's not as easy as just "switch to mutas n00b".
The main mistake Lalush made was putting the 4th expo too close to his bases so it was very easy for Brat to put pressure on it and force direct responses from zerg.
I'd say this map favours strong campy deathballs too hard.
p.s. god job upgrading, brat :> p.p.s. @commentator, be very careful when saying smthn like "just build mutaz, bro" it sounds quite unprofessional as it wasn't actually the absolute best response in that position anyways...

It's funny seeing only Bo3's for the semis and finals when we saw some bo5's in the earlier rounds, understandable though given it's the previous rounds that determines who makes it or not and these are just for seeding ^^
Not sure who I want to win, either way I'm hoping BratOK takes the finals.

he had 20 vs 60 but then there were hellions roasting drones and evening up the score ;;

this also is not that simple and straightforward. Going broodlords with terran so close to one of ur main mining expoes gives him huge timing window to push. I'd say that with such a tense game doing smthn that crazy would turn out pretty bad for the zerg player.
I actually enjoyed that game, even though it was fast and mainly one battle, it was just a smart move and cloud did not have his bunker up in time.
I think that while Lalush made a terrible mistake in not switching techs (Should have gone into BLs), BratOK played a beautiful game from a terrible position.
-He fortified and secured a forward PF, which pretty much gave him control of the center of the map + eventual access to top expos if needed. -Upgraded all the time -He kept his macro up the whole time, even when lalush went for the main, 5+ tanks were quickly finished and easily defended -He constantly harassed with BF hellions, almost looked like vultures (Mines )
You don't need to counter Mech head on. Yes, Broodlord with Infestors are obviously a solution, but a damn costly one and you can't always get it in time.
Drop would have been the deal breaker here. What are Tanks and Thors are gonna do against Drops. Even more so in these positions, which are just perfect for Drop play. Defend against hellions ravaging your minerallines with tons of spines and walls and just drop the meching bastard to hell, while you build up whatever stuff you want (most likely Infestors or Mutas if he goes overboard with the Tanks and skips Thors).
Oh well..

cloud was able to hold on against that all in rather nicely, he had a risky cc first and he played great to take that game, i hope this next one is a great game.

Shortest TvT Bo3 in a while.

Well that was a LOT quicker than the lalush and bratok series, that is for sure.

A bit of a build order loss for ClouD in that last game =S

If you don't go broodlords its pretty much a guarenteed loss against mech though. Unless you have Ret's macro there's absolutely no way roaches are gonna hold up to that many tanks. Close positions is gonna be shitty whatever you do but yea..
ClouD sticks two rax in the middle of the map at the two minute mark, LaLuSh going Pool/Gas.
LaLuSh scouts them. Cloud doesn't even know where LaLuSh has spawned yet.
lalush is succeeding well at getting people to dislike him, so boring and predictable BM
Why do some IPL maps have that random yellow terran in them? <3 AskJoshy casting, his voice is like custard.
these games have been bad
These are some of the worst matches ever :/
5:00 Bunker is finished and loaded at the bottom of LaLuSh's ramp, roaches are out. Lings and roaches kill the rocks on the ramp, and then run by ClouD's bunker. ClouD ggs out immediately.
that was just fail by cloud XD
i think in big maps like this it is pretty hard to cheese, especially these barracks are even not hidden....
The most silly GG I have ever seen. Is he suffering from the "idra syndrome"?
1-1 Game 3 on Terminus LaLuSh at the 12, ClouD at the 9.
LaLuSh 14 hatching, ClouD opening with standard Rax right after depot.

Obvious things are obvious.
I'm actually talking about a specific game. Zerg had no time to tech to broodlords after that crazy muta-hellion exchange and terran establishing his forth so close to him imho.
ClouD fakes a bunker rush, LaLuSh pulls a bit too much and loses a lot of mining time.
ClouD builds a CC in his main and both gases simultaneously. LaLuSh pulls drones off mining again checking for bunkers, kind of weird. LaLuSh pokes at the wall and is fended off.
ClouD going tanks, LaLuSh assumed it was a real 2-rax and is happy he held it.
Nice positions for Cloud.
Tank push coming soon most likely.
ClouD takes the center of the map with 9 marines as stim and medivacs come out, forces some lings. LaLuSh's third is finishing.
Another factory coming out as well as an ebay. LaLuSh getting Banelings, morphing by ClouD's 4th. ClouD pushing with Marine Tank Medivac, LaLuSh countering at Cloud's nat.

Can someone explain why doesn't lalush get baneling speed? :O
I liked that ling/bling counter
On May 20 2011 09:06 razy wrote: Can someone explain why doesn't lalush get baneling speed? :O
He's got awful multi-tasking. Also floating 800+ minerals on 3 bases with 4 hatches...
OH my goodness, Lalush is getting a spire, an actual smart decision.
He has such a good advantage right now, i just really hope he does not blow it this time.
haha, what am i watching?
ClouD is cleaned up, Spire is being built, supply depot wall is fully walling the nat off, tanks repel a ling poke.
Marine drop is denied pretty easily. LaLuSh trying to take his 4th at the 15:30 mark, but ClouD has the middle of the map sieged. The drop is preventing lings from moving out until the Medivac's hp is low, and then LaLuSh cleans up the small contain, tons of tanks going down.
Ling/Bling/Muta vs Marine/Medivac/Tank, double drop does very little. ClouD sieged up the middle, but Mutas get into his main mineral line and he has nothing ready for it and ggs out.
LaLuSh gets 3rd.
I was just about to come in here and say 'BRAT WHY WONT YOU JUST DROP THE TANKS' and then it happens.
Great decision making from Brat_OK that game. Drops to break the contain, counter before siege is researched, GG.
commentary is quite bad. Merz loses a ton of hellions for like 2 SCVs and Joshy says its an awesome trade for merz and what not
That's why I don't like1 man commentaries.

Alex are you guys ever going to release the vods of uncasted games so the community can cast them?
Curious I've strolled through the IPL pre r 6 or w/e it is replays and sadly the majority aren't really the match ups people would want to see. Would be awesome if we'd be able to get a hold of the uncasted games at the very least.
