It would be the most amazing thing to have TL in the GSTL, but I doubt it will happen due to players, cost and logistics. But one can dream.
The changes are great, the bottleneck on Code A<->Code S is the same, just a little safer for Code S. And the seedings allow for more foriegn players to have an oppertunity (many might still decline) as well as an automatic Code S seed for 1st place Code A (so badly needed) and MLG (Awsome recognition of that tournament).
Overall this is just great, can't wait for it to start.

They still need to give Code A more money or remove it altogheter making Code B the whole shabang to get into Code S

I am wondering whether it now will become possible for atleast Jinro to become a real part of OGS, Idra was part of entus wasn't he?Perhaps OgsJinro incoming?I understand that he has a major allegiance and loyalty to Teamliquid, but such an oppertunity does not come by often.
Ow well, I can dream on.

more stability in code S, an incentive to WIN code A, a weekly team league!!!! hell yes gom!!
|
this is so great. gstl has always produced the best games. remember the first one with squirtle vs MVP???

Overall really great changes. The previous code S up/down system created a lot of instability given that if you lost 2 games you were on the chopping block. I also really like how the winner of Code A automatically gets Code S which provides a better incentive to win the Code A tournament.

looks like the up-down matches have become that more stressful... they seem to have to play more games. But I like the decision to change Code S to the MSL style.
edit: looks like this is their answer to all the rage that has befallen them due to IM not being able to get into the GSTL after being in the finals twice and winning one.

Wow gom is really making it soo much better. Can't wait. Team league will always be my favorite. Can't wait till they do it like they did in BW. <3

Standing behind NSHoseo by 1 point (1 code A spot). I'm not sure what the qualifcations for GSTL are but if it's based on GSTL points then Liquid will barely not make it. They only need 1 code A player to tie it up with NSHoseo. But with only HuK and Jinro in the GSL (S and A) I doubt we're going to see TL at the GSTL I wonder if Nazgul would actually accept the inv to GSTL if they managed to somehow get 10th place. For now it seems it won't be but it would've been much much more epic if TL were in the GSTL. I mean imagine if there was ever a PL with a foreign team :x That'd be so sick. Uh... their points are irrelevant. What is relevant is that they don't have enough players in Korea. There is literally 0 chance they can compete in the team league this season. Maybe next season they will have more players in Korea. But for now it can't happen.

Great to see GSL modernizing their tournament to entice foreign viewers and players. The time change means there is more to watch in prime time here in the states (as if there isn't enough already)!

omgomgomgomg, FOREIGNER TEAM PLZZZZZZZZZ!

This is a huge step in the right direction, but I'd still like to see more money in Code A

Why everyone is talking about money now?
To the hell with money, fuck all that talk about money.
Kids it's time to go to sleep.

GSL going to be exciting again and GSTL going to be even more exciting! Just hoping that Tastosis casts GSTL or at least be alternating with Doa / Moletrap. <3 GOM

I love it. Loooooooooooooove it. Especially how seriously GOM is taking the foreign scene and the MLG direct-to-code-S invites.
They've convinced me to finally pay for the stream. Which means Huk better win Code S.

So much team league = so much awesome!
I just hope they keep Doa + Moletrap on Code A this time around -- not that they're bad, it's just that Tasteless and Artosis are the best.

i look forward to the changes, seem quite okayish and the more gstl the better, gives new players on a team more exposure and people who are not in code a/s have something to train for
