But yeah I felt bad for TheWind; at his third, when MC came with about 4 and quickly 6-8 Phoenixes, TheWind had about 4-5 corruptors total, but they attacked one at a time (or rather, didn't finish all at the same time) so they got picked off so easily and the Phoenix numbers just grew and grew...

I don't get why you're getting your panties up in a bunch or why you're even dragging me back into the argument. I said it pretty clearly that I don't agree with them. I was just put up reasons why people love to hate on him. It's normal for people to hate on someone. This is the internet. And I think you need to watch more of his games. A lot of his games have been won via 1 or 2 base aggressions. That's the reason he's called the Kratoss Protoss. He kills people off quickly. Note also that I didn't say he's a cheesy player. All I said that he just cheesed against White-Ra, a foreigner fan favorite. People take into account who you cheese against when they choose to hate. See: Hyperdub (after cheesing against TLO), Rain (after beating Nestea through bunker, marine, SCV rushing)

What I saw last night was TheWind make some pretty bad mistakes, no as bad as the crap I saw in some of the code A games the night before.

Anyways, I don't understand this hostility towards cheesing, personally. It's a legitimate strategy, and when you're out to win a tournament (esp. when there are such juicy cash-prizes at the end), you pull out all the stops.

I don't think people really have hostility towards cheesing, they just use it as an excuse to bash someone that just beat their favorite player. Whitera was 4 gating non stop vs MC, but no one said shit cuz it's whitera.

The definition of cheese is "a strategy which, if scouted, is usually easily crushed. one that is fundamentally unsound, but relies on the element of surprise to gain a massive advantage." What strategies that MC uses do you consider "cheese"? The only "cheese" I can remember MC doing in GSL in recent memory was cannon-rushing San, but that was for lulz, I think. His proxy against White-Ra at DreamHack was punishing a no-zealot,1 Stalker PvP opener which seems pretty cheesy to me-- because if scouted, you lose. Just like White-Ra did.

Sure it's unfair to mind read; but as a coach TheWind has displayed an intelligence in his overall strategy that is only hampered by his inferior means of executing them, unlike more well practiced players. The actions he did that made him lose in the Supernova fight is the type of basic stuff any coach would drill into players not to do. Overall the most important thing to take away from that match is that Supernova really needs help in TvZ. Almost everyone has a weak matchup but with what he showed in that match Wind shouldn't have rolled over for him.

See: Hyperdub (after cheesing against TLO), Rain (after beating Nestea through bunker, marine, SCV rushing) White-ra also cheesed him earlier with 4 gate builds when he instead went with tech builds. The point is he can and will destroy his opponents early with aggression, but it's rarely an all-in, if it fails he is able to transition. It's more of early aggression style. A lot of people can't deal with that so he beats them. If you can crush your enemies early why wouldn't you? If they can defend, then the game will drag on. These two games vs Polt was unnecessarily greedy/risky and he knew it. Right after the loss, he face palmed hard. He pulled an Idra twice, fast expand with no defenses = asking to be killed. Edit: The real interesting thing here is why he decides to do these builds??

Btw I play random, I have no bias whatsoever, just my honest opinion. And for the record , this post is more about making it more exciting for all of us as spectators than just mere balance whining. Please see it as such.

His style is unique and solid and Supernova, another fantastic player who also played well above a Code A level was the only player to give him a run for his money last season. There are some fantastic guiding principles behind his style that will soon be present in all Zerg macro styles.
