Actually that was because of the TvZ tank pushes mostly. Sucks for Mondragon but Cruncher was just so cost effective that entire time, even while losing his bases he kept the units alive. And Mondi refilled 4-5x but just couldn't make it that 6th.

Sorry, what? Mondragon played roughly 10 times better than cruncher with drop play and crazy multitasking. In the end though all that was needed was gathering a critical number of void rays and a-move his way to victory.

There are obvious dangers to Mondragon's style guys, and he lost a lot of momentum before he cracked Cruncher's defense.
Stop complaining.
Mondi will still take this though.

Guardian shield really really really shuts down Mutas.

edit: sry didn't mean for balance whine really just saying P strategies don't seem very varied recently against Z. Though crucher proved me wrong with the game on TDA!

As I said earlier, I would like to see the impact on this MU if Zerg had a Viking Warren.

Because they are better and cheaper than corruptors against voidrays.

People aren't giving CrunCher enough credit. He defended all of Mondragon's harassment really well, managing to kill enough of Mondragon's units to make the army trading relatively ineffective and to prevent a massive amount of economic damage from being done.
Mondragon probably played a little better overall, but it wasn't the one-sided game that people are saying it was.

Guys, both players played well, neither really outplayed the other. It was very very close. Mondragon used a strat that abused the weaknesses of Cruncher's build, and did a lot of damage, but he also took a big hit doing it, and didn't execute as well as he could have.
If a bunch of those drops had been hydra drops, rather than roach drops, he likely would have won. The roaches just couldn't do enough damage.

Well, cruncher pvz on sharukas is so obviously abusive so he get most of the hate about that. :p
That's why blizzard change the map, but everyone still use the old imbalance old sharukas.

Games like that take the steam out of my love for SC.
Grrrrrrr.... poor mondi

Mondragon played incredibly well. His insane agression and multitasking make for very entertaining games. And if zerg's dedicated air to air unit didn't suck against void rays, he could have won with his style too.

Travis, busting out the voice of reason again, what are you thinking? This is the internet! xD

Mondragon did everything right except saturate another base :-/ His income just fell really behind because I think he mined out of his main and nat and almost out of his third, so he was basically trying to max out on a base and a half at the end.

I'm so impressed by Mondragon's play, such an amazing insight throughout the game, strategically such a strong player. Even though he lost, he's my hero.

On one hand we have mondi giving his all dropping left and right. On the other hand, let make some photon canon, let s a move... and then : )
