Reddit thread, with bonus narratives!
http://www.reddit.com/r/starcraft/comments/grpk1/collegiate_starleague_ro8_day1_waterlooucr_and/

JiYan, show dem canucks!!! CALIFORNIA

And with Diggity and CatsPJ, my ears are properly buttered. MMMMM

Mini-writeup in spoilers~
+ Show Spoiler +
Narrative: Waterloo vs. UCR
Waterloo is probably the only group of StarCraft players to boast hosting Combat-EX, their lineup carries a deadly arsenal of Protoss complimented by one of the best Zergs in the CSL. Walking over almost all of their opponents through the whole entire season and the playoffs, Waterloo proves to be a completely dominating force that will be stopped by nothing short of another amazing team.

UCR is no slouch school either, and with 3/8 remaining schools being California schools, UCR will aim for the upset against Waterloo and advance with their Californian brethren into the Ro4. UCR will have to bring their top A game if they aim to even take a game off Waterloo, but seeing as how successful they have been during the past seasons and this season, the hypercompetitiveness of the CSL should truly be reflected as these two power schools face off in the Ro8. Though colAntimage would pose a fearsome opponent to any player, UCR StarCraft specialist JiYan is the best bet in assisting UCR to bringing an upset. UCR proved themselves to be a top competitive school by eliminating Dalhousie from the playoffs, showing they can at least pose a threat to the Canadian school power houses.

Narrative: McGill vs. University of Houston
McGill university has 3-1'd its way to the Ro8, taking out schools such as University of Colorodo and U. Central Florida, McGill continues to carry its reputation as another Canadian power school alongside UBC and Waterloo. Like UCR, McGill's win will mean they will advance to the Ro4 with their Canadian fellowship to face the winner of Waterloo and UCR. While McGill doesn't boost amazingly huge names, their depth in the team and well-roundedness of their player choices has made their trip through the playoffs a rather smooth one. Will there path to the grand finals continue to be as smooth as their partners in Waterloo?

University of Houston is the last Texas school standing, and will have to overthrow McGill if they wish to avenge their fellow Texas fallen. With Waterloo eliminating Texas A&M and UC Irvine eliminating Texas Arlington, a win for Houston would mean a true path of vengence as they go on to face the army of gosu Canadian and California players in the Ro4. Houston is the last hope for Texas which has continued to provide the CSL with amazing players, but as the number of Texas players dwindle, the competition will be nothing but an uphill battle for Houston to reclaim the glory for both California and Canada.

I'll correct it! Apologies my recollection is a bit hazy T_T

EDIT: fixed. I'll try not to make any super predictions.

Stream down temporarily because of xsplit patch issues. Standby!

There was almost another EZ pylon, but instead there was only an E.
