I don't want to rattle the inControl fanboys too much, especially with inControl being his #1 fan, lining up to defend anything he does. But I don't like the bias. Maybe it's something a better commentator can pull off and it won't bother me as much. I never felt like this listening to Dreamhack (an event where you'd expect more bias for Swedes), where those 2 guys (DeMuslim and I apologize for not knowing the other guy) were flat out awesome. Also Tastosis is awesome and my personal favorite duo, and despite their flaws (which yes they have some) I probably won't complain about them.
I just think these two could do better, and I have no problem with being in the "haters gonna hate" camp for expressing that. Tastosis are also hugely biased in alot of their casting, Cliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide anyone? I dont understand this complaint from people, alot of casters are often at least a bit biased

Tastosis even come out and say who they want to win. Kind of dumb to get on inc for this

The other guy is D. Apollo.
And can someone cite some examples of their bias and stop being general?

Now that it's over can someone tell me what the spoiler was?

I am seeing improvements already. Thanks for that. The sound is much better tonight with the game sounds the right level and the background music. One more thing to improve on is maybe the framerate. There are a few times when i think the frame rate really drops.
Also spoiling a game sucks and im sure inc is kicking himself over it but its ok man. Just be more careful next time
Why? It wasnt his fault anyway it was the editing team.

BitByBit, hated on. Clide, overpraised. Boxer, overpraised. Nada, overpraised. Rain, hated on. PoltPrime, hated on. Leenock, probably overpraised.

The result of Squirtle-Axslav was alluded to.

Tastosis reamed san zenith saying how horrible he was in the up/down matches, they made fun of his build and then he won the next 2 to stay in code s. look at him now

Just because you're awesome, it doesn't mean you're perfect. Also, the Clide thing is mostly a joke. They don't actually think Clide is perfect. And sometimes, two different guys can have the same trait, but in one of them it's endearing and the other it's annoying. Tasteless, especially, is very much a noncontroversial likable guy imo. He's not perfect, says the wrong thing alot, and echoes Artosis, but he's just tougher than most people to dislike.

also I find Tasteless' mistakes pretty funny. and his jokes/stories like piratebird

More power to the NASL for using the original version of this map.
No they were accurate.

Good job today! I think this is going to turn out perfectly fine after this first season. I was not sure after the first broadcast, but seeing how transparent they are with what's going and how quickly they respond to the community I will reconsider getting an HD pass this weekend.
Get this: how many TV shows actually listen to their viewers? Right.....
|
Just wanted to point out that their JTV channel has gotten 1.2 million views already. That is crazy!

This whole argument against not being biased seems a little ridiculous to me. If a caster wants a player to win over another he or she will put more true emotion into the cast which makes it interesting.
As long as they don't spend too much time on their favorite and talk about the other player enough, it adds another level of color and depth to commentaries.
|
Dapollo and DeMuslim weren't unbiased. DeMuslim pretty clearly wanted Idra to beat MC and I would have thought he was being fake if he pretended he was impartial.
|
After thinking about it for a sec, maybe all the booth really needs in better chemistry, because Dreamhack and GSL both have great chemistry and it more than makes up for any flaws. If anything those imperfections can become endearing traits, so maybe it's just that Gretorp and inControl don't have great booth chemistry. Whatever it is, they just don't have it (yet?).

well, its a bit different in a way. Tastosis are commentating on a stream focused to foreigners and are mainly bias when it comes to them = 99% on the stream will probably agree. Im not saying its right but here you are more likely to have half rooting on one and the other half on guy nr 2. Some Koreans are exceptions though as the before mentioned Clide.
Although I have not yet reacted to Inc and Gretopr being biased, have watched 5 series or so and cant say Ive heard something that disturbed me regarding that. And about the commentating level. Its pretty low so far yes. The understanding of the game from mainly Gretorp seems to be lacking BUT its only day 3 out of sooo many, give then some time to get better. But NASL. stop spoiling games please

Leenock, probably overpraised. that praise is pre game analysis only. during game, if brilliant play is demonstrated by the winner, he is always praised

CANNOT BELIEVE dde lost that third game.... never seen a bigger choke in my entire life. 4 base vs 3 with one of nadas completely locked down.. and he fucking pulls back! aghghahgg. and knew the only way he could lose was mass drop.... and builds 1 turret to protect that side of base. AGHGHGH
