A few remaining criticisms - the map pool should never have the old versions of TDA and Metal, also crossfire and backwater are just pretty imbalanced maps straight up.
Also, VoDs need to be split up from massive chunks.
tal'darim/terminus aren't new versions. they were like literally the first 'beta' versions of the maps when they first came out early this year.

Finally they fixed the volume, or maybe Gretorp just stopped yelling, either way the sound has improved quite a bit, very glad.

To put it plainly, it gets boring to watch after a while, which I think is why you hear a collective groan from the community whenever there's a PvP in whatever tournament happens to be on at the moment. I really enjoyed seeing an entirely different unit composition being brought to the table and having success, even if we only have this one game as an example, because it could possibly catch on a bit and breathe some new life into a pretty stagnant matchup.

NASL schedule changing to Wed-Sun. For this week, they are skipping Fri and doing it Sat/Sun

@Incontrol, hopefully you're still reading this thread.
Maybe you guys are already going to do this but it just dawned on me that this being an actual league with a long season it would be helpful to have a weekly recap of the results and review the standings, either after the last games of the week or at the start of the next week.

I lost on metal b/c I didn't realize the map had close spawns enabled and was so confused when i didn't see him at the 2nd spot I scouted that I screwed up the build order really badly and got everything later than normal.
Just 1 match in a long season though, lot of time to recollect and get plenty of wins.

I'm wondering what the average viewers will be from now on? First night it was around 25k all night but since i don't know if i've seen it over 20k. Thats going off the jtv numbers in the top right. Still will be interesting to see how they do on views this season.
Overall that TvT was amazing and i love how they are already making changes so early in the life of NASL, shows a lot of promise for them in the future i think.

Look at the calendar - they moved it to Saturday. Makes Saturday one hell of a SC 2 day, but leaves Friday kinda empty.

Feel so bad for Axslav after g3, g1 gave me several things to consider in PvP, and g2 was quite close to holding, Squirtle just played it very well.
G3 was just one of those unfortunate games where everything seems to go wrong, doesn't do justice to how well he played the first 2 games and several others recently. Quite painful, but we've all had those days (kind of like McIlroy at the Masters, one small mistep leads to a catastrophic snowball)
Overall though, several good games tonight.

great changes already, the first thing i noticed was the scoreboard which was nice, i didnt expect myself to be watching as much of this as i have been so early in the round robin which must mean they are doing a lot right
one comment tho, the north american star league screen looks like a 20 year old logo, i think it is that ugly colour of blue, it could be the whole thing looking duke nukemish

Yes but 4 gate is too strong to ignore. In order to have some sort of evolution, a solid counter to 4 gate will have to be developed.
You can't expect both players to go something different, there's no gentleman's agreement between them stipulating they both won't 4 gate. We've seen time and time again how risky things like 3 stalker rush are (TT1 and White-Ra getting caught outside their base).
You bring up valid points though, and I wasn't referring to you at all in fact, it was more a general frustration towards others in the community who are so biased.

Incontrol has definitely shown he's committed to making this work. Listening to all the feedback from day1 and day2 and they're already taking it into account in day.
Only complaint I really have left is the map pool. Crossfire doesn't belong in a competitive map pool. Yes, its a nice throwback to BW but with collosus it really just doesnt work for PvZ =/. Plenty of other good maps to choose from

OMG I was going to make a thread about this in a bit It would be such a great idea and it would highlight some of the things people might have missed that can't watch every day.

So when is the naniwa match if he doesnt get the loss??

The commentary booth was better overall. Personally, Gretorp and inControl are still a net negative, and I won't be purchasing a ticket yet, but will wait and see. I'll catch a few games here and there, but it's not must watch tv. Wish I caught some Diggity.
I don't want to rattle the inControl fanboys too much, especially with inControl being his #1 fan, lining up to defend anything he does. But I don't like the bias. Maybe it's something a better commentator can pull off and it won't bother me as much. I never felt like this listening to Dreamhack (an event where you'd expect more bias for Swedes), where those 2 guys (DeMuslim and I apologize for not knowing the other guy) were flat out awesome. Also Tastosis is awesome and my personal favorite duo, and despite their flaws (which yes they have some) I probably won't complain about them.
I just think these two could do better, and I have no problem with being in the "haters gonna hate" camp for expressing that.

I think if they just threw in some of the great plays from the previous day in the pre game, it would make it much more interesting to watch... and people could catch up on what they missed out on.

Great day today, I really enjoyed the improvement over the previous day. Unfortunate that Naniwa - Strelok didnt happen but still... Saturday is going to be really incredible! I must say I'm looking forward to every single match :D

Good idea, maybe like a weekly recap show and standings update would be great
