According to the website - though it hasn't been updated since the last matches were played a few days ago - there's going to be a scheduling snafu regarding my players (Liquid`HuK) next match on Tuesday the 26th at 8pm CDT.* The reason HuK is not able to play at this hour is because he's on a plane heading for Los Angeles to play the last set of these matches from American soil and attend MLG. Laurent or any other administrator, if you see this, can you please write to me so we can get this sorted out as soon as possible. I believe it's in both of our interests to get this match played, but you haven't responded to any of my messages whether it has been in the night, day, noon, afternoon or late evening for you. I hope to hear from you soon, so we can get this match rescheduled. *Source: http://us.wcg.com/?page=stem_schedule&stageid=4203

That's such a fucking joke. Not being able to get in touch with an administrator for 4 days? I know your purpose isn't to get us (the community) whining on WGC, but come on? Seriously?

I'm not sure who's side your on, but yes, it's definitely not the purpose to get everybody to hate on WCG, but an act of hope to get this resolved. The match is within 36 hours and it has to be played prior to the originally scheduled time for the bracket to work accordingly with everybody else. And this is one big, important tournament for a professional StarCraft 2 player.
I hope you understand and apologies if anybody thinks we're trying to bash WCG.
Edit: Also note this tournament takes place over a 2 week timespan and games are played on back to back days, so I think 4 days of unavailability is a lot.

What the hell, WCG? I hope this gets resolved quickly. I would hate to see HuK suffer from this.
|
It would be terrible for both parties if this was not resolved. Hope it works out.

Sadly this is what ESEA and ESS is all about and known for. They pride themselves in paying their admins, however at the end of the day they really don't get the job done. Contacting league admins in ESEA is the same hassle. I'm not surprised you have run into this problem with WCG.
Best of luck and hopefully WCG will notice this. I will RT HuK's post.

Wow... with all the WCG Bashing :>
Thanks to Soulcrusher - you're correct.
I am the primary Admin for Qualifier #5 for SC2, not Laurent... I'm not sure how you've been trying to contact him, and I apologize that you didn't hear back, but that is not how you need to request support. Saw on twitter this morning, and then saw the ticket. We'll get this handled.
In the future, just use the support ticket system, that way the appropriate admin gets notified, Thanks <3
|
Yes, it's done and thanks for the clarification. I've also explained you the situation in the ticket.
Thanks WCG. ;-)
|
Also sidenote - Cruising through this thread I've noticed the theme of character codes being added to the registration material... that would help facilitate communication to those with maxed friends lists. I'll forward that on to the backend wizards. Thanks for the suggestions.

Zephyr playing Huk in round of 16, I didn't know Zephyr was still active.
|
I think Zephyr is playing a bit whenever he feels like it. He's not on the roster as an active player or anything. :-) And I guess one of many progamers dreams are to go to WCG, so why not try out ^_^
