way to prove his mlg performance wasn't a fluke.

Looking forward to more nasl tomorrow

I guess that was harsh. I just feel that this stream was very low quality compared to the average user stream, the tournament doesn't have that "GSL" feel to it if you know what I mean. Sure, they're new to this, but c'mon, you gotta make it a lot of fun for the viewers or they are going to get an unfavourable first impression.

Why don't you give some valid specific criticism instead of your last two responses ? What can they do better ? Do you have a solution, or an idea ? Is there something bothering you, and what can they do to improve your experience ?

Yesterday I couldn't even see what was happening due to bad (REALLY bad) quality and insane lags, but today the quality was improved and there was only minor lag left! Well done NASL, if the quality of the stream tomorrow is as good as todays, I´ll treat myself to a HD-pass

I just plunked down 25 big ones...

Is there only one game available from each 3 game series? Or am I missing something?

At the moment they are just one big video of all 2 to 3 matches.

I think when he says that NASL doesn't have the "GSL" feel, he's talking about how it doesn't have a performance atmosphere. There's no live audience, no musical performances (Secret-Shy Boy, etc), there's no twitter effect (tweeting it live as the games are happening). There's something special when a caster can say "We're live at the GSL!" "We're live in Stockholm with Dreamhack!" "Live at MLG Dallas!" etc.

So, I guess it's more of a fundamental issue that NASL can't fix. NASL is an online tournament, so it can't really have a GSL feel if it's not live and offline.

I honestly don't think their current team is capable of putting out a quality production. It's just so awful. My suggestion would be to hire more competent staff, refund the $25 they essentially tricked so many people into buying, send out a public apology for how atrocious the production has been so far, and then try it again next season.

And if you want specific constructive criticism there's a thread for that already with about 20+ bullet points outlining what most viewers have been complaining about.

Honestly as long as we get to see some good games I don't care about the atmosphere. All I know is that the stream didn't lag for me, and thats more than I can say for the gsl stream on some days.

I think nasl is shaping up to become a great tournament, I mean you can't forget it's only been the second day, can't expect everything to be the way you want it to be right off the bat.

After watching the first couple of days, i do quite like this league set up so far, well done for bring some production values.
Constructively, If there was one thing I would improve, it the way the videos are replayed (i have to watch the replays mainly).
If I see that its 30 mins long, I can be pretty sure its a 2-0. Its like a spoiler after watching the first game. Is there anyway to put in an sc2casts type way of have one game at a time and hiding them in spoiler tabs?

Anyway great work, and I think this will work out to be a great league.

Wow...That was an awful cast. I will seriously never complain about a SC2 casting duo again. To be clear, I'm not talking about the casters' independent casting, just the awful "dual" casting.

I don't get all the "not live" & "not hype" complaints....

There's a freaking full live tournament at the end of each season that should have a live audience and tons of hype.

You're basically getting 3-4 weeks of top level play in addition to a tournament that's going to be as big as an event like Dreamhack.

Yeah it'd be awesome if NASL had a studio audience everyday, but it'd be a lot of money for them to have a studio that large and I dunno if they'd be able to really get enough people everyday to make a good audience presence.

Everyone is basically complaining that the several hundred high level games they're getting over any other SC2 event to date isn't good enough. Give me a fucking break.

Now if the live tournament portion doesn't deliver the hype and quality of an event like Dreamhack or MLG then I'd consider the complaints legitimate (and damn that's a high bar for NASL to reach in Dreamhack's case).

Haha, yeah...I can't even imagine how they worked it out technically. Even that one is miles better than the first few they did, though; the technical issues were pretty brutal, as I understand it. It was a different time.

Guys -

Can someone answer this for me? I am a subscriber to NASL -- when I go to www.nasl.tv/videos, I do not see the "one long video" thing that people are talking about. For instance, I'd like to watch the full Artosis vs. Sheth series. In the /Videos section, I click on the Artosis vs Sheth link and I get only the last game. Can someone advise me on this?

Thanks.
Time held me green and dying though I sang in my chains like the sea.

Yeah, I should cut them some slack since this seems like it was three years ago, and things have changed quite a bit in terms of technology and familiarity. Still, it's like they're both fighting to get in as many words as possible before handing it off the the other guy for 2 minutes of non-stop talking.

I dunno if you are talking in jest, regardless... the event has been acceptable.. like a 1000 times better than MLG in terms of production and product delivery. I would wait for at least a week or two before asking for my refund... and what is your beef with the production anyway? Gretorp and Incontrol are good casters, their lightning and camera work isn't professional, but I don't think it's a deal breaker since the video runs smoothly -- for the most part.

sorry guys, had a look round and saw Naniwa's name floating around with White Ra in having his first game in the NASL forfeited? Is this true? and if so, what were the reasons given? Cheers.
