This was a really weak tournament. North America could do a LOT better than this.

Cruncher to me is no better then BitbyBit. Mass Collossus Void ray off 3, base, A move and take out everything. Yeesh, even though Idra rages at pretty much everything, I can see why he was so upset after his lost against a clearly less talented opponent then himself. I wonder how many ridiculous losses like these, players like Darkforce and Idra, ( and more ) are going to suffer before there is actually a solution to this nearly unbeatable "strat".

I'm trying hard to not speak about balance, as I know its against the rules here, but watching a game like Darkforce vs Cruncher for me, is just not fun, infact its frustrating, from a spectator point of view, and a player point of view.

My 2 cents.

Replace penis with Phoenix.

Great day today, smooth stream and good games. I hope Diggity becomes a regular "third chair" so to speak. The go-to guy whenever Gretorp or iNcontroL can't cast, not only that but he could also be thrown in sporadically just to switch things up. He's just an all around great caster and a perfect fit with both Gretorp or iNcontroL.

Brightness is an issue : I'll either have to play with my screen settings every time I log on....or be ready to burn my eyes if I wanna follow the whole tourney. And yes my screen is calibrated, I'm a photograph.

Sound really need to be improved. Quality feels like Logitech clip on microphone + some good old skype 1.0 through an echo room.


Edit : aren't they casting replays ? If so, why does Incontrol say during the post-game interview "I'm shaking, etc..." Too much show kills the show, they should be careful about this kind of details...


All sounds very negative, which is not my only intention, it's a good show so far, with little things to be perfected, keep up the good work guys!

I was unfortunately only able to catch the last series. But if the quality of the stream (LagLess) was there for the entire show I have to say congratulations to the NASL production team for fixing the problems experienced in yesterdays cast so quickly.
Also congratulations to iNcontrol for a well played, well deserved win. Great game!

Yeah the games were really boring, but thats not crunchers fault alone. darkforce did nothing ... nothing the whole game. He just waited for cruncher to get maxed and stomped. Maybe if Zerg players would start thinking (see Mondragon in TSL even though his opponent was really weak), maybe the games would be more fun to watch.

To your edit: they're casting live with the players, then rebroadcasting the "live" taping a day later after editing and throwing stuff together. I'm 99% the interviews are right after the games.

Agreed that Darkforce did nothing to harass, to prevent, but I still think that it's frustrating to think of a ZVP game like that as an hour glass, where eventually at one point in the game, no matter how many bases the Z has, you can clearly say, before an engagement even takes place " Zerg has lost ". Even the commentators we're clearly thinking it. They never said it directly, but their thought process indicated clearly towards it.

Yeyy INcontrol!! So great to see him doing well. I really hope he keeps winnig more and more as he totally deserves it! Grats Inc!

And Diggity is so awesome. He is actually the caster who originally got me watching Starcraft. He is so good it's even difficult to describe all the ways in which he is better than others. It's long overdue but I'm so glad he is finally invoveld in this kind of huge SC2 event. It didn't surprise me in the least to see the massive positive feedback he's been getting. Let's just hope NASL makes the right move and hires him as permanent caster.

you are absolutely right about incontrol and diggity. but i really had to laugh out loud when i first saw him. he really looked one of those jehovah's witnesses that kept waking me up in the morning to talk about god and the end of the world ^^

Diggity is awesome. I missed you man.
There definetly needs to be done something about the quality of the stream, but overall I liked this. Cruncher was boring, I really want to see something new from him. Granted, Darkforce basically handed him the win by refusing to do anything about his build-up, and I would have done the same had I been in the protoss shoes. Still, it made for some incredibly boring games. I hope Mondragon can find some way to play against Crunchers 3base doomball style that is as entertaining as his anti-air play.

Shame about White-Ra and Julyzerg, but things like that happens. Overall, I liked the show tonight.

I guess that was harsh. I just feel that this stream was very low quality compared to the average user stream, the tournament doesn't have that "GSL" feel to it if you know what I mean. Sure, they're new to this, but c'mon, you gotta make it a lot of fun for the viewers or they are going to get an unfavourable first impression.
