Sjow looking very strong. Solid stuff. I like pretty much everything he's doing. That tank placement was perfect.

This thread has gone very low indeed. Poor mods having to clean that mess

Wut? There's not even anything worth reporting. People are just bored because the games are... boring mostly.

.

Well if I were a mod, I'd just delete every stupid one-word posts, That'd be good start.

I just wanted to contribute to white-ra's face is everywhere.

On to the game, i dont know if i have had my head in the sand but i really need to start to use tanks in pvt.

TT1 at <2/3 of SjoW's supply. Tanks are apparently really good when the P skips charge for too long and you can build a death cloud of MMM behind them.

Why are Zergs crying about Protoss 200 army power when we had the really interesting series from Sheth yesterday CRUSHING Arotosis's "deathball" over and over?

He used some creative thinking, misdirection and relentless pressure and the protoss fell apart piece by piece. It was awesome to watch even though as a protoss player (and a gsl fan) I was rooting for Artosis I was inspired and happy to watch such strong Zerg play.

Then we had Idra at dreamhack Vsing the BEST protoss in the world and using the same basic principal of endless pressure had him on the ropes in a massive way. Idra lost that game because he made a big mistep but In such a high calibre game against a player like MC you lose if you make a misstep regardless of race ect.

My point is, Zergs are making so much noise about it being unfair that they can't sit back for 20mins and then A move the protoss with a 200 army. Well maybe thats because protoss is simply a better race to play like that? When Zerg plays with Aggression, misdirection (tech switches ect) and relentless pressure they do SOOO much better.

Sheth had a 50-100 food advantage over Artosis for most of those games didn't he? and Artosis was only one 2 bases and didn't build the same composition in the same way at all.

That said this series was just poor play by Darkforce, way too passive, way too few infestors, and not good engagements with them. With the way Cruncher just brazenly goes VR/Col right away DF should know enough to do... uh anything. At the very least mass infestors or something earlier and at least attempt to deny the 3rd.

There's an argument to be made along with what most zergs are complaining about it, but DF vs Cruncher isn't a good example of it, other than maybe that it's so successful that it's DF's only strat apparently.

Sheth had constant aggression on artosis, using those baneling bombs and drops to kill artosis's gas heavy units. The only thing darkforce did right was take the map, for some reason he didnt seem to understand that, as zerg, he didn't need to be cost efficient. Doing nothing is rarely a good option in ZvP. Sheth showed a very effective aggressive style. Darkforce's games did nothing other show the way NOT to play against deathball-centric tosses. Really nothing to be gleaned as far as "balance" goes from those games.

Isn't that exactly what I said? I don't think either series is some sort of revelation one way or the other. I mean I love Sheth's play and will try to play like that, but the way Artosis initially played didn't impress me much (his mid/late game holds and unit choices were impressive).

The games arent mostly boring, but the TT1 v Sjow is a mech based game so its slow and lumbering thats all not a lot of aggression or counters/drops going on which is what I wish was happening.

You must be watching a different stream than me then, because I've only seen some low level games mixed with very one-sided passive games.

did anyone see TT1's control on the zealots during that first push? that was an incredible spread against siege, even if it was a foolish push.

Well I'm glad Sjow played well instead of both of them playing poorly, and him just coming out with the match.

Heard a lot about Sjow, haven't seen him play until now. Like what I see. I love Sjow and QXC's style. Especially QXC's reaper/medivac. Been waiting for someone to do that since beta.

With charge, the first fight would have been a slaughter in favor of TT1 imo. But Sjow actually target fire the colossi then the stalkers with his tanks, so he avoids the trap a lot of terran players fall in : targeting your own tanks.
