Amazing job by Morrow, really happy he won. Hopefully he'll do well later on.

Much much better than I expected things to go. The only complaint I have is that it would be nice to have the game music on to add more to the cast, but that's a minimal thing, and it was nice that they moved from game to game. 5 matches played in just a little over 3 hours very very good. Especially for those of us who live on the east coast. I hope the rest of the season goes this well, and that eventually they make the whole season live like GSL and MLG.

I think that lag has just made me go onboard with root.Catz, that the scene should probably ignore atleast koreans, since I mean that kind of lag... I don't see how they can look good with it and it's just not appealing to watching morrow win that game just because of lag(i mean he might've taken the game anyway, but rainbow lost simply because of the lag).

Wasn't the lag fine during Moon vs Grubby? I didn't see that game.

NASL Day 1 - Pretty awsome.

I enjoyed the casting, the quality of the matches was pretty great, yes there was lag in the last game but hey technology is the vehicle...u know the rest.

Overall a big success in my opinion, after so much hype about NASL i feel they are delivering.

Keep up the good work and bring on more great SC2.

Rainbow vs Morrow... worst games I've ever bothered watching. 1st Game: Rainbow does a massively spastic 3 CC, 1 base, 4 fac, all tech lab, blue flame and siege mode tech and NO UNITS - Morrow 2 base baneling/roach bust. 2nd game, Rainbow gets lag killed - Morrow baneling/ling bust. Just the saddest thing I've ever watched.

Poor Rainbow... as his marines/ scv's got to the natural from his 2 rax opening, lag just froze him up... no chance

Good first day. The sound needs a little work as gretorp blows out your eardrums. I am not complaining about him or incontrol but just the levels.

The video was very nice. I am glad I bought it but I hope the VODs deliver also as no one can watch all these games 5 nights a week.

I think Artosis' get more ahead destroyed him tonight. Hiding in his base as toss will never win against zerg. Finally, Rainbow game was terrible. I was like well that really sucks and then you said he was embarrassed and I think that was out of line. It was obvious lag issue and I guarantee you when asked by his buddies how the game went, he told them he lost cuz he lagged to hell.

are vods free? if not, how much does it cost to buy a ticket?

Only the live, SQ stream is free. The commercial free HQ stream and VODs are included in the ticket, which is $25. It's a lot more than GSL, but it's also three months of content.

You can also get a $5 version of the ticket, but that is only for a single week.

Rainbow needed to be playing on oGs's internet connection so he could actually do micro builds... Sad to see the last set play out that way.

I actually am not motivated to watch the rest of the season after today. Sure it was the first day, but it was still bad in my opinion.

You're entitled to your opinion. Even if it's wrong

The production quality was quite high for a first day of the event. Music and sound level normalization are my biggest gripes production wise.

The commentary I was half a fan of and I hope they improve with time.

I can watch this live and I can't stream at anything above 480p due to my shit internet connection so I am unsure if I'll buy a ticket for this or not. (I can't watch GSL live most days so I buy the ticket for the VoDs).

The first day of games has been really nice, save for the last game which was plagued by lag but it is inevitable.

Looking forward to more epic games!

Recommended series for today was Grubby vs Moon and Kiwi vs Fenix for me.

I was really excited for the NASL, but it has some of the same problems that the TSL has -- it seems like many of the games are auto-losses because of lag on the part of players in Korea.

I don't think it's a leap to say that the overall level of play exhibited in day 1 of this tournament (and all of TSL3 so far) is not of the caliber we see in the GSL's. Considering that many of the same pros are present in all, lag seems to be the most likely culprit.

Also, was Artosis in Korea when he played his match? It might explain, in part, why he was so passive (remember Slayers Boxer was saying that he felt like he had to play macro games in TSL because the lag made it too difficult to micro well).

Hes back in Sweden for the DH Invitational. Did you miss that tourney? Best tourney so far in the West, second world wide just after the GSL.

People are complaining about the lag now in the NASL because of the way it was recorded, which shows the awful lag players had to face. I have a feeling that if the TSL was similarly recorded live and broadcast later people wouldn't have been so quick to dismiss it.

That's the first thing that came to my mind when I saw this game - just how much of a factor KR-NA lag plays in TSL games. Morrow seemed to at least have consistency latency coming from EU.

I initially thought everyone must be exaggerating about the the lag issue in TSL. But this really shows why the koreans + Jinro and Haypro all looked really off during their TSL games.

Dont want to make this thread into a lag issue discussion but yeah TSL was casted from replay which will remove and lag symtoms for the viewer and NASL casted live which showed us a lot.

So far im in absolute love with the NASL. Great production value and 1080p is absolutely fantastic. The games were good, except the last one with minor lag, but thats almost expected with battle.net these days. I still think that morrow would of held the bunker rush, and continued to do the awesome timed baneling bust. Overall just fantastic, cant wait to watch some more games in the future!

Jinro even said himself he did not lose because of lag lol. So where you got that from is interesting. Just look up jinro's builds.

Rainbow lost the series because Morrow's all ins worked just like they did vs jinro. I don't think i'll watch morrow zvt's anymore as everytime I watch him he just does a 2 base all in and for some reason terrans don't defend properly i must be bad luck for them terrans .

all the games today weren't bad, moon vs grubby was all right, but tlo vs vibe game 1 was really good. Was good stuff tomorrow should be awesome ^_^
