A wild qxc has appeared!
Most of you may have heard of FXOqxc, one of FXO's newest additions. He has shown us some promising results, and has been showing those results to fans as well. But, more importantly, he has shown us that he is motivated. He is willing to train hard, improve, and try to become one of the world's best Terrans.
qxc's Campaign is about showcasing qxc's play in a series of showmatches that will be both entertaining and educational! qxc has set up these showmatches and they will be cast twice a week, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 7 PM EDT (subject to change), and the games will be cast by myself, FXOWolf. The stream can be found at http://justin.tv/wolf_schroeder and VODs will be posted in this thread as well. All series will be a best of five, and will be cast from replays. I will also use the replays to analyse the strengths and weaknesses of qxc's play, as well as his opponents'.

Awesome but, I think you're shooting yourself in the foot by making it 8PM EDT. You will be overlapping the NASL that starts at 8:30PM EDT. So making it a bit earlier like 7:00 or 7:30 will help bring in a bit more viewers.
Still I'll load this up in another window since I like watching QXC play if the time doesn't change.

Thanks for this; I feel silly for not taking that into account. I'll change the time to 7 PM most likely.

Haven't heard of some of these players before, pretty curious to see how well they can do. Anyone know of any major accomplishments by bischu or syck?

lol@kelly troll post. Bischu has done some things (winning European Champions #3 beating players like Kas, Diestar), Syck is more untested though. Either way, if QXC stomps them, should prove a point :p

Just wondering, but will the replays be made available? I doubt it as it would take away from potential ad revenue and brand exposure, but it would be cool if they were. Especially as this is meant to showcase qxc's skills and be educational.
Really looking forward to drewbie vs qxc (hellion vs medivac harass:D). It's sad that qxc has dropped a bit of the sc2 radar (at least compared to in beta/early release) when he has such an interesting play style.

This is great, at least someone learnt from Destiny's mistake by making all the show matches vs people who would be considered clear favourites (He didn't win one if I recall) making him look kinda bad.

Yes! I need my qxc fix. Please come back from Spain and start streaming again soon Love the match-up between him and Drew. So much history there, such similar play styles, and probably the #2/3 Terrans in NA.

I somewhat like and understand that lately he has been focusing on macro more but sometimes it just seems really bad when he leaves his units unattended at the front of the other players base or somewhere else, when those few units are very important specially in the early game. Also, no matter what the stage of the game a player who tries to keep every unit possible alive, demands respect.

Some kind of prize might be implemented in the future. Kind of hard though seeing it's a bunch of random Bo5s and there are multiple per week Can't really give a big prize to each winner and a lot of smaller prizes would be a hastle to pay.

Really wish qxc would mix up the styles a little bit. I love his bio aggro play but when he stays bio heavy he just gets rolled by the deathball in a straight up fight. The style is so micro heavy it just leaves too much to chance in a way. Would love to see bio-mech play maybe with some thor drops or something.

I really don't understand why protoss players go for this fast blink play against terran. Never seen it work.

it can work - vs metal ^^
its usefull in late midgame though to snipe medivacs and reposition your army (after charge)

Damn... =/ QXC showing some pretty good play in most of the games, but I just have to question his decision making in dealing with colossi.... I just think if he started incorporating some mech play into his play he would have so much more success in those kinds of situations. I feel like his "meta" style of all aggro all the time has evolved into a more solid macro oriented play(with aggression), but his choices in unit comps have kind of stayed in that 1-2 base rut. You can still do drops with bio mech qxc!

Enjoy your casting Wolf. Overlays and Production Tab is all I ask. FXO/QXC Campaign image covering up the replay bar, Names of Players and current match score and a little note on your monitor that says PRODUCTION TAB so you don't forget when you switch to another tab.

I would love to get the replays after the cast. I like to have camera control but i also like listening to commentary while i watch games, Using these i can sync up and really keep up with the game.

There's been some talk about this, and it seems qxc and his opponents would prefer to not release the replays. But that could change.

You don't have to worry about replays, qxc releases them in big packs, but he does release them .
About the low FPS, I don't stream but it might easily be that Wolf is streaming with too high bitrate/resolution. So you can lower the game details but the streaming process still lowers the fps. So as a viewer I'm absolutely ok with medium settings, but low FPS is quite annoying when you can see that the streaming PC just doesn't cut it. You can self-check it on the VODs on JTV. NASL has the same problem, probably just too high bitrate.
Oh and don't be afraid to put in at least some advertising, FXO overlay hiding the replay bar as usual is perfectly ok, or rewind the game when you miss something .
And of course thanks for the showmatches, I guess qxc wants to train under some pressure .

I promised all players that replays would not be released. As there is no prize some were hesitant to reveal strategies and such. Not having replays released helps for that as vods are much less revealing.

He is a good player. But somehow feel he is over-rated. Just my opinion. But this should be exciting and such campaigns and dedication will quickly help him rise..
