No man. They're already set up (the players) thats why this is so infuriating. They're playing right now while the commentators are forced to talk about stupid shit because of MLG.

The irony behind all of this was the hate MLG garnered at the first event with sc2 when they had a small pool of players. Everyone bitched at them for not making it the premier event immediately. When they responded that they did not want to add everything at once to make sure it runs smoothly, they were again met with the venomous attitude of TL elitists.

You guys are ridiculous, were you there when sc:bw first began in S korea? you are comparing their events in quality when one has had YEARS to perfect their system. MLG, whether you like it or not, was the first major tournament to feature SC in the U.S., there are going to be kinks, especially since there is no lan functionality.

Naniwa is still setting up, this isn't gsl with one game being played at a time. They have to pick matches to observe. this isn't gsl, how do people not see the huge differences between them? Or the differences between MLG and online tourneys? It is three days with a massive player pool, together with dozens of consoles and separate streams being played at the same time.

Are you serious? It's not like MLG is blazing the technological forefront here. They have been established and holding events for multiple years now, youd figure theyd be able to run an event without 7+ hours of technical difficulties. There are many other smaller, less funded tournaments that manage to run smoothly. MLG fucked up, hard, stop desperately trying to defend it.

Fast expansion.

Cheese most often refers to an unexpected strategy that relies on large parts on secrecy and/or psychological impact on the opponent.

TLO going CC first IS Cheese

This is so wrong.

Actually it's not wrong, CC first is cheese, but their's nothing wrong with it.
Flash did this a lot.

Idiocy ensues.

In what universe is CC first cheese? Stop making up your own definitions for things only to justify your feelings.

Just to refer to liquipedia:

"Cheese is a pejorative expression which refers to a strategy that is highly unconventional and designed to take one's opponent by surprise. In general, cheese is hard to beat if not scouted but easy to defeat if it is scouted."

..that sounds exactly like CC first, man..

Rofl, seriously.
People shouldn't be taking offense to it being called cheese, cheese is fine and it's still strategy, but it is what it is.

It is what it is.

If anyone can do it in PvP it's Socke. Haven't watched the games he lost but I can't imagine them being anything else but close.

Can someone explain to me the end of the brackets here? Who has a chance of being in the grand finals?
I root for Euro Zergs, NA Protoss* and Korean Terrans. (Any North American who has beat a Korean Pro as Protoss counts as NA Toss)

Well, at least this MLG has showed that TL is still as awesome as ever. TL twitter/LR thread and homemade brackets sure beats anything MLG has provided, LOL.

Because CC first is HIGHLY unconventional?
Because it's DESIGNED to take one's opponent by surprise (rather than securing an economic advantage)?
Because a CC first is hard to BEAT if not scouted?

CC first is by no means something that kills you.
Always smile~
