"The lack of demonstrated empathy is possibly the most dysfunctional aspect of Asperger syndrome.[3] Individuals with AS experience difficulties in basic elements of social interaction, which may include a failure to develop friendships or to seek shared enjoyments or achievements with others (for example, showing others objects of interest), a lack of social or emotional reciprocity, and impaired nonverbal behaviors in areas such as eye contact, facial expression, posture, and gesture." Having had some courses on autism and known a girl with aspergers I'd say that nothing in IdrA points to him suffering from it. Nah, I'm no doctor, but IdrA doesn't have aspergers. Who cares if he did? He kicks ass at Starcraft and is incredible entertaining. We're on a forum obsessed with a puzzle solving video game which can be played without social interaction...... We're on a forum about starcraft e-sports, a popular game that is primarily about competitiveness. What are you on about with the lack of "social interaction"? Saying it that way just sets you up to argue that any person on this site is some kind of socially inept person, which is clearly ridiculous.
And second (not so much directed at you), it's rather offensive for a bunch of people to go and cite some definition and armchair-diagnose people they hardly know anything about when they have no background as a psychiatrist or are even studying psychology. Autism is a serious condition that shapes people's lives and one shouldn't lightly theorize about someone having it, just because he's socially awkward, it goes way beyond that.

Idra says he can not beat me in a real game.
Idra comes across as a angry gimp sometimes. It's called autism. bold statement with possible truth in it. Aspergers at most.. And I really don't think so dude. They don't like standing in front of big crowds afaik I doubt any progamers would really want this information leaked about them... but I have a suspicion that there we have several community members, high level and bronze level gamers, that have some form of aspergers. I think day9 might have some form of functional aspergers...basing this off of stuff like stories about his awkwardness in his early life (telling ppl random facts) and his masters degree in mathmatics... probably not, but definitely a possibility
Yes, because anything you listed in your post is a legitimate indicator of aspergers... I'm pretty sure if Day9 had aspergers he wouldnt have the most social job possible in the SC2 community.

There is trash talk in any sport, it makes for entertainment..
Sometimes I feel like the sc2 community is 60-70% emo... Just because you consider trash talking people you consider inferior as a sign of manhood doesn't mean that is what the rest of the world thinks. There's such a thing as respect. And to be honest insulting fellow players that you consider inferior only makes you look shitty, would be 100x better if Idra would come on stage, say great difficult games, but I was lucky I figured him out etc. At least that would have been a proper thought out insult considering how he raped Huk. This way he just makes himself look like a brainless bully instead of the actual intelligent person he probably is.
and who are you to say what the world thinks? another clueless internet nobody? All of my friends think IdrA is the only person in SC with any character and everyone else is just annoyingly fake, frankly I agree. High society starcraft is annoying and a terrible idea, need more character and drama

If SC2 being recognized as an e-sport means SC2 sinking to the cesspool level of FPS communities and "professional" players that Idra seems to emulate lately, then I'd rather it stayed as small as Brood War. Players behaving like shit and getting popularity and fans for it? No thanks. We don't need those players, and we almost certainly don't need the "drama fans". If you want to look up to how an e-sport should develop, at least look up to Korea (like we mostly did until now). Keep rivalries IN THE GAME, but at least have some sportsmanship and behave like an adult outside of it if you can't just be a nice friendly guy that most other Starcraft players genuinely are.
Actually, I think we should look to extreme sports, where BM is all over the place before, during, and after the competition.

Yes, because Starcraft entertains me.
Drama and trash talking don't entertain me in the slightest, they piss me off.
And I would rather watch my Starcraft and be entertained without having to be pissed off by somebody's childishness and the kicks his fans get out of it.
