Basically, if you arent Seed 1 in your group, you get sent to a Single elimination bracket??

thats kinda....
really, 4 players to a single elimination bracket? and only 4 players get double elimination.

That thor, tank, marine comp has been absolutely trashing me on the ladder lately, very strong composition. Select executed it brilliantly too, I thought he was behind when the hellion attack more or less failed but nope, Ret lost too many roaches trying to be aggressive and that gave Select the confidence to kill the gold and the third, game was over there imo.

i don't think SeleCt is well leagues smarter than Ret... i can concede his superfluous APM, but what did Ret in was getting creative with the Broodlords cuz Bnet says it counters thors... broodlords only when u got the win...even more roaches and an extra hatch coulda saved Ret...the map spawn was too close for Z.

I don't think so, if Ret instead of trying to save his hatcheries (and he had no chance to win those engagements) counterattacked , ideally to natural and maybe even main with his force, it would take so much time for mech to get back.

Great game 3 plan and execution by Select. Also really smart for Ret to see right through it, just too aggressive early/mid game.

Damn, well played game 3 by SeleCT. That said, I'm starting to question whether I like Xel'Naga. The placement of the gold right along the attack path makes it easy for terran to rely on a planetary fortress while being able to quickly return from a large attack. When SeleCT sniped Ret's 3rd and gold, I really didn't feel like SeleCT's gold was vulnerable even if Ret wanted to counterattack. Anybody have thoughts on this?

Edit: That is to say, I think I prefer golds that are placed off to the side, like in GSL Dual Sight for example.
