It just looked impressive because Zeerax did not play well at all. Terrible unit control, donating units in weird ways (sacrified multiple colossus), lost that void ray by letting a queen drag it into range of a spore crawler, etc. He floated a lot of minerals and just had no ground force. What was great from Mondragon was the way he get back in the game so absurdly fast. Zeerax seemed completely caught off-guard. That's just because Zeerax had 1500 minerals in the bank, no gateways and no gateway units. If he had actually macrod a bit he would have had stalkers/zealots to buffer for the collosus and he wouldnt have lost 2 collosus to 6 roach. It's easy to look good when your opponent doesnt build units.
Not saying Mondi isn't very good, but that game wasn't a good test

4 queens out for Mondragon on 2 base. Should be sufficient anti air vs the one phoenix and void ray. Plus, who doesn't love some creep spread.

I would lobe to see a burrowed roach bust from Mondi here. I dont think Zeerax would have a chance of stopping it, since he is so focused on getting colossus.

Anyone else see how bad zeerax is? One base stargate is so gimmicky if he doesn't do damage he is so behind and if he does he might just come out even. I love it when a protoss goes one base stargate all you need is queens and some spores then you just crush them with roaches.
