The Semifinals and the Final will all be Best of 5. The Game for third Place will either be Bo1 or Bo3 depending on the time (we really don't want to miss TSL  )
The cast will be provided onsite by Soe on-site who will be joined by the players as co-casters.
Stream Quality will be higher and the production will be more extensive than the one of the showmatch. We have 2 internet connections: one for the players and one for the caster to ensure everything runs smooth.

Great! EPS aside, Inso shows really good results in tournaments, TLO is TLO, ClouD is getting better and better - Rine, well haven't heard too much about him lately, but I used to watch his stream and I liked it. It will be a nice event!

I hear both on both sides. But Cloud is so quiet, I cant understand a single sentence of him.

the problem is that soe has no clue about the game yet and cloud has excellent insight but is no commentator. so none of the two can hype up the action in the game (cloud doesn't have the ability, soe isn't sure/familiar enough). TLO is a bit more of a commentator, he can cover the action as well.

The only big mistake i can think of is that in Game2 TLO sacrificed his whole army to harass and had nothing to defend.
But in all games we could see TLOs extreme multitasking, being in 3 places at once.
I really liked those games and i think i haven't even seen him using the arrow keys

Definitely like the casting combo of TLO and Soe more than Cloud and Soe. Nothing against Cloud, but it just seems that TLO and Soe have a way better casting chemistry.

Thats why i think Soe and TLO are a perfect caster combo. Very good synergy and Soe always asks the right questions with TLO giving good insight. They should cast more often together.

Cloud had many vikings and countered the Schwerer Kreuzers. I think TLO shouldn't have build any marines/tanks at all and spent additionnal minerals on hellions in late-game. Ravens + PDD would have been really useful too.

This mass marine play is quite impressive from cloud. He's being a bit sloppy with drops but otherwise really nice

Cloud's positional play overcame TLO even though he ended up loosing more for most of the game. But you can afford to with all infantry forces.

3-3 Marines with medivacs. I think only way for TLO to stay in that game was if cloud attacked in his PFs, which he didn't have to. He could have just killed off production and waited while he got his eco back since PFs couldn't have defended production built there.
TLO had the game but I think he thought his few siege tanks could keep the contain. Still sick play from both.

I don't think so, Cloud could reinforce his units so fast with streaming marines and he was standing right by TLOs production buildings, but well nice tournament thx =)

Awesome games and brilliant, competent and entertaining Job from Soe!!! She was SOOO passionate at her commentating! A female Day[9], really! It was her best SC2 Cast, i've hear from her. Also the Players are very good moderationpartner for Soe. And together the were absolutely fantasic!
Wonderful entertainment and a really soelicious, soemazing and soeomg soenday for me!

Yes, VODs would be nice. I especially want a vod of the "hitting little girls" moment, i only got half of it because i wasn't paying that much attention and suddenly they were laughing and talking about hitting little girls

Aside from the obvious sound issues (sorry for that! Will be a lot better next time, but it was quite a lot of different things to organize and sound is the one thing I probably knew the least about) and the missing scoreboard (which was a silly mistake - we had a really cool looking ready but I screwed up with some settings), in what areas do you think we should focus our efforts to improve?

As long as you manage to get Soe and TLO casting together more often you can't do much wrong
I liked the tournament, i even ignored TotalBiscuit casting to watch it. About improvements... can't say anything since i didn't notice anything that annoyed me, was really high quality, even when ignoring the awesome games. I liked to hear the players insights.

It was a very well organized event.. all almost perfect, really high quality.
Incredible games ( above all last 2 ClouD-TLO games in the final ), really nice caster (Soe) and very compentent commentators ( TLO, ClouD and Rine ).
Well Done TBO, I hope there will be many events like this !

i'm watching the VOD and it's really good, but the Sc-streams.de... I don't know.. i don't like it, i had a lot of problem watching it :/!

@dibujEx if you can watch the vods properly i dont see a problem with you watching the stream, alltought we dont really have a good coverage in chile with sc-streams. Im always there to help out if you have problems with our service, just drop me pm Otherway around i also followed the stream in irc chat and helped out if people had problems with the stream. You're being too modest. Your game knowledge is pretty good- I remember reading something about you laddering quite a bit in that Clay-Hydra thread. Plus your cheerful attitude and excellent english made up for some of the not _ so _ good english the players were speaking

I wouldn't worry too much about improving in terms of game knowledge. At least as long as you're having a co-caster your part will probably be the one of the enthusiastic newbie asking the pro player questions about what's currently going on.
Probably the most famous caster of that type is Dj Wheat, who started casting Broodwar without any kind of clue (about starcraft that is, he had been casting other games for a long time) but lots of passion for games and esports. People loved him for that and connived his mistakes. He's one of the top casters in the scene today (as you're probably well aware :D).
What you could actually "improve" on is relating more to the players. Obviously that does not apply to a 4 man home tournament, but since you'll hopefully be casting larger tournaments in the future, facts about players (playstyles, personality, gossip- yes please) and picking a favorite player each game can (!) spice up the casting quite a bit.
A lot of things come down to personal preference and style I'm sure, but cheerfulness and enthusiasm go a loooooong way, so gj

No, i had problem with the VOD because my internet here, it's not too good, and because the VOD does not buffer, sometime it was like "charging" 30 seconds, and sometimes that was happening like every 5 minutes, it's not that it's bad, but if it would be like youtube that buffers, that woudln't happend. But i think that is just a personal preference, thanks btw, if i have a prolbme i will pm you (:!

Btw, as a starting caster (http://www.teamliquid.net/blogs/viewblog.php?id=204547) i'd love to know if there are some replays available. I'm currently casting some IEM games, but i don't know where all the other casters get their recent replays from, so it would be nice to be able to cast some of those from the heat cup as those were really great games.
