[NASL] Players (final) - Page 108
Forum Index > StarCraft 2 Tournaments |
Players such as Jinro, HuK, and Adelscott did not apply for this tour, so don't ask why they aren't on this list. DIMAGA, Kas, and LaLush turned applications in late so they will not appear either. Please take some time to learn who exactly applied. Please inform yourself about who applied and who didn't.

But on the other NASL said they have also contacted players themselves that they wanted in the league. Now I seriously wonder, who did they contact if not the best terran and the best zerg in europe? Really strange. Guess it would have been different if these 2 would not have been from eastern europe. Same with Bratok btw, who nearly would not have been in either. You definitely got a point there.. All in all I think too much transparency got sacrificed to create even more hype. I don't really understand it, the hype is already at 200/200 after the stunt Incontrol pulled. I would have really preferred if they had made the whole process of contacting, inviting and introducing players more transparent instead of dragging it on for weeks just to create more hype about "who's gonna be in, and who's not". I mean right now players like Vibe get undeserved hate from people who dislike that Ret and Morrow aren't officially "in" yet. I'm 99% sure that they are, so it would be better if they just got it over with, then people could stop freaking out.

We currently have 13 T, 12 Z, 14 P and 1 R. I am assuming that the organizers tried to balance the groups such that each group has 3 T, 3P, 3 Z at least and the remaining spots are filled arbitrarily. Group A needs 2 T Group B needs 1 Z, 1 T Group C needs 1 P Group D needs 1 Z, 1 P Group E needs 1 Z That means 3 T, 3 Z and 2 P will be at least selected (and the last two spots will be arbitrary) ---- At this point, I will be shocked if Nada, Boxer, and July don't make it. Even completing disregarding the SC2 achievements of these three, they have comparable past achievements in SC:BW and high popularity. Since the only reason Grubby got in was popularity and past achievements in a different game, it would be highly surprising to see those three missing considering they have shown good results in SC2 as well (Nada is probably the oGs person Incontrol referred to). Ret and Morrow seem two other obvious choices who will make in the last 10 spots. --- That means 2 T 3 Z are selected. This makes a total 15 T, 15 Z, 14 P, 1 R. Going to above analysis, 2 P 1 T still need to be added for group race balance. Considering that nearly all the popular protoss are already in, I am going with oGsMC making it in. For the other toss spot, it will be either Nightend or Minigun making it The Terran spot will probably be taken by a Korean T as there are not a lot of strong foreign Terrans left (assuming Demuslim has not recovered yet and Kas has not applied). Though, mOOnan, Lz and Thorzain do have a reasonable chance of making it as well. StrifeCo, and Lalush possibly round up the list for zergs I still who still can make it. --- My prediction for last 10 Boxer July Nada Morrow Ret MC Lzgamer Minigun Strifeco Korean spot (any race) This will bring us to a neat total of 3Z 3T 3P in each group and a grand total of 16Z 16T 16P 1R and 1 undecided. ---- EDIT: Didn't realize Darkforce was already in + Show Spoiler + Come on build some hype about the last 10 NASL selection spots instead of arguing who got in and who did not. The worst thing that can happen is that the 10 odd questionable selections will ROFLstomped in season 1 and drop out and 16 new players come in through the selection process through open and qualifier tourneys. If the questionables do manage to stay in, then their selection is not in doubt anymore. Also any of the fan favorites who were not able to make in easily can easily wade through the Open tournament for 8 spots as there will be very few strong contenders who are not in NASL. Season 1 is just a starting point and player pool is bound to get better with time (which is same what happened with GSL as well)

I might be confusing him with some other terran but im pretty sure its him and i dont want him making it in, if its not him then i apologize in advance. Avilo is not being invited that was already hashed out, inappropriately, in another thread.

Yeah I guess I missed him in the list. I think hat Zerg spot will probably end up going to StrifeCo or maybe even another Korean zerg. I would love to see Dimaga but I have heard people saying that he missed the application deadline (not sure if anyone officially stated that though).

Was just some wishful thinking although I've been wanting to c his level of play as of late and NASL would have been a nice coming out party( like it is for grubby and artosis to an extent)
