The Champions Trophy Starcraft II tournament series is back again in March with Asia and Europe taking place this Saturday, 26th of March 2011, and North America later this month.
Asia: Saturday, March 26th (12 noon CET - 7 AM EST - 4 AM PST)
EU: Saturday, March 26th (5PM CET - 12noon EST - 9AM PST)

Each player can veto two maps for every match, only one map for the final. The player in the upper part of the bracket gets to choose the first map. All matches must be played on European servers. All matches will be played as best-of-three, final is best-of-five. Europe is 32 players single-elimination, Asia 16 players single-elimination.

@ the guy above me, i think it's an invitational. probably SK.Reis (the translator guy from IEM etc) asked the koreans if they wanted to play or something like that. ^^

Some really good players in this, a lot of players like Seed and Bomber who have a ton of hype but so far lacking in results. Also wanna see Jinro and Huk play.

According to the English version of the stream, Cezanne is replacing Jinro. It had Cezanne's name, but I can't find Johnathon's. Huk's there still.

Speedling roach vs blink stalker battle, with Huk coming out ahead thanks to the edge of the map preventing a surround. A few speedlings get into the main and kill a few probes. Second attack is roach baneling drops but Huk with nice blink micro to limit the damage. Losira attacks again, this time with a ton more speedbanelings on the ground along with roaches and kills most of Huk's stalkers. Losira attacks one more time with roach baneling and kills the rest of Huk's army. Huk gg's. Losira takes the series 2-1. Huk's PvZ seems to have improved from his play in code A but unfortunately he was rolled by Losira's macro.

Not bad, but i agree with him. And it's like you say, SK once again only promoted their tournament accordingly on their own page. Although they DID make this thread, but it probably missed most people as GSTL and other tournaments rapidly let it sink down the forum.

Yoda with a marine tank 1 banshee 1 raven push off 2 base. Ace tries to break the contain but fails miserably.
In the other game Seed holds off hannibal's 1 base push thanks to psi storm.

Tanks snipe a couple red health high templar. Enough marines and 1 tank left to take out the natural nexus. Nice storms from reinforcing ht kill the rest of hannibal's marines. 20 minutes into the game and we are 1 base vs 1 base again -_- Hannibal has no more anything left though so Seed rolls through and hannibal gg's. Seed wins 2-1.

Losira up by 50 supply. Guy has the most ridiculously good speedling usage. He's already got 4 bases up including the gold while Seed is trying to get up his 3rd. Baneling bombs incoming! Practically doesn't need them as speedlings+banelings on the ground are almost enough to win the game on their own. Baneling bombs don't even blow up before Seed gg's. Losira up 1-0.

Well yeah, if you EMP all the sentries and a good chunk of the units the marauders tend to do well =p
Maka playing a pretty good game, though lots of HT out vs heavy marines isn't something I think will go too well...
...I take that back, Maka with a load of great EMPs to completely neutralise everything

I am currently watching Ahnaris stream and the sound isnt working, anyone have any idea why? i have this problem often with streams from owndtv and sometimes the sound works and sometimes it doesnt.

I think Maka work his ass off to come back at his best lvl. I really think, he is a gifted player but too lazy to train and become a marineking or mvp caliber player. That's why he displayed some bad results recently.

Bomber with a double medivac drop into Losira's mainn. Losira's lings are all the way outside the natural trying to bust down rocks. He sends them back and pulls drones but the marines get out just in time to ball up. Mutalisks pop out but bomber reinforces with another medivac full of marines and has just enough to wipe out Losira's forces. Losira gg's, Bomber up 1-0.

Bomber not doing a SuperNova, and actually closing the match out after a succesful 2 port banshee attack xD

Bomber leaves his main with his army, allowing Losira to destroy the starports with his mutas before bringing them back to defend. Bomber has no medivacs but Losira has no banelings. Bomber is forced to back off for a little bit and wait for reinforcements. Bomber sieges up outside Losira's nat and sends in a squad of marines to take down the hatchery. Losira finally gets banelings but there aren't enough of them. Losira sends in his mutas also but Bomber's vikings + autoturret + marines kill them all. Losira gg's. Bomber wins 2-0.

I agree with top 5, especially with FD slumping a lot recently. Actually, pretty much all zergs are slumping. It's so hard to be consistent as zerg.

Maka with early marine/banshee pressure but bomber walled off so he was able to delay until banshee came out. Bomber kills a bunch of scv's with said banshee until viking forces it away. Maka tries to attack but his army gets completely destroyed by bomber's. Maka gg's and bomber wins the finals 3-0.

Bomber is probably like top 20 in Korea (maybe even top 10) and he's been consistantly unable to qualify for the 64 man GSL, that's got to be so frustrating.

Yeah sorry about the lack of coverage for G1/2, the only thing I can think of was a communication error. Hopefully that won't happen again.

Actually there were a lot of walkovers in this tournament. I think Cloud took a 3-0 walkover in final too. Many players didn't show up.
The admins of this tournament didn't bothered to add a walkover note for these matches though, and posted the results as 2-0 instead.
