I genuinely think that the administrators are only in on this for the money and not to support the community in anyway, acting in such an outrageous lame manner.
I don't recommend on watching this tournament if you are looking for fair play. Stream is delayed. Now question: can your blind fanboyism grasp idea of "delayed stream"?
Most people are not claiming "stream cheating", that would be absurd. Hashe is a legit and very strong player.
And while he had an advantage that game was not over by any stretch of the imagination, we have all seen ppl come back from even worse. Calling a win to the guy the disconnected is wrong on so many levels.
Also Destiny does not advocate people bashing, from the way that you wrote I would wager you have watched him very little or not at all.

They should have had rules set for this sort of thing. When destiny almost d/c'd they said it was going to be a forfeit and then when Hashe d/c'd they gave the win to him. Inconsistency is the big problem i have here. Should have just been a rematch and it would have solved it all.

I kinda agree and yes I know what I said in last post.
But you know what matters? When you see 10 people with few posts spreading lies and when those same people sound uttery biased. Army count, expansions, current lead, moment when DC occurred, upgrades, almost everything was wrongly interpreted by Destiny fans.
He even said himself that he was behind (his words from his stream) and even continuing with few nice words how Hashe is strong player, etc.
I would never thought SC2 fanboyism would go that far... being able to lie, talk out of proportions that much just because some guy without any achievement(s) but who often streams lost a game by admin's decision.
And again, it is really hard to like Destiny because of his fans.

Finally nice post from Destiny's fan.
Dude, I would vote for remake as well - just for sake of good games and sportsmanship. I am just reacting on decision reaction by people who sound unbelievably biased.
And yeah, I said I watched his stream just few times and didn't like his tone and I liked even less people on his chat. Same people who went crazy on tournament's chat made me feel I don't belong there. I tune in from time to time hoping to see some in-house Root practice games.

I don't get why you think post count disqualifies an opinion, considering your one of the few defending the decision It shows that your most likely wrong, you obviously aren't looking at it objectively, you don't like steven, which is fine, but that makes it so you discount all the other posters as mindless fanboys. I've been watching steven since he first started streaming very early on in the beta. If you actually watched him you would understand he is very integral and a fantastic person, yea he BMs, but why don't you hate on Idra than, he bms for nothing while Steve is very intelligent and coherent in his words. It's true often he can go overboard but it is very entertaining. The fact that you think a high post count gives you the right to belittle, and discriminate against those with lower post counts shows that you don't respect the 'Canadian charter of rights and freedoms' or 'The Constitution' or whatever great country you live in.
We wanted to watch, good fair games, not to be decided by absolute totalitarism by the admins who obviously didn't go with the majority decision

To whiterabbit - The only thing that bothered me was that as Destiny's countdown went down, they announced it would be an automatic loss for Destiny, however when HasHe disconnected, they actually took the game into consideration and gave him the win. The fact that they weren't consistent is what bothered me, and I'm pretty sure in very high level tournaments, they base a DC off of who is ahead anyway.

My last post answered few things about my "post" statement. I don't like his fans, about Steven directly I wasn't on his stream enough to make definitive opinion. Also where did I say I "like" Idra? And yeah, "majority" aint always right but as I said I would go for remake as well I just got a bit upset by people who refuse to look at things with a bit of clarity.

Few Mods at chat said that was a joke. It's your choice if you want to believe in that or not.

I like how you conveniently forgot to mention how ahead Hashe was. He was maxed with thousands banked, was up on expansions, and had killed off Destiny's greater spire and infestation pit. I do agree that things could have been run more smoothly.

Hashe had 3k/2k banked while destiny had 2.5k/1k banked. Hashe's income was 1200 mins/600 gas with him trying to set up a new base, while Destiny's was 800 mins/400 gas. The supply was 200 to 184 with hashe in the lead obviously and hashe did have the advantage of a few orbital commands for mules. However, Hashe did not have his entire army in the middle and if steven had just A-moved in, he would've destroyed Has's entire army and he would have free reign on all of hashe's bases because there were no planetary fortresses. The game was in no way over and Destiny actually had a pretty good chance to come back there.

The reason I didn't speak about Hashe is because it really didn't matter.
If a player has 185 supply, every upgrade in the book, and 2000/1000 banked up, hey isn't out of the game. The ,game is not over. The game is not an auto-win. REGARDLESS of what you're up against. Its about finding cost effectiveness in your army. If used correctly, Infestors and Mutas can be the two most cost effective units in the game.
TL:DR A player with 185 supply, and 2000/1000 is not out of any game.

It was shaping up to be a good series, It was unfortunate that Destiny had to take a loss, It should have been a regame. As far as I understand, the casters were worried about the time frame doing all the casting in one day. It should have been a day planned a bit better. The casters were complaining that it was already late and they had to cast the remainder of the games. Yes it was probably a joke that it was an auto loss, but at the same time they were a little serious and would only regame if destiny put up a fight, which he did not. Which I guess is easier on there conscience. Yes Destinys fans can be a bit trollish especially from a TL perspective where BM is kept to a minimum. Reddit on the other hand is more open, and I think that a lot of Redditors enjoy Destinys stream. even if you don't like destiny, or Reddit they are a big part of the SC2 community.
|
They did decide to give it to hashe since we didn't have time to stream a rematch but in the end we decided for them to have a rematch not on the stream but from what i was told destiny said he had lost and didn't want to do a rematch and we couldn't get ahold of hashe from that point on. Sorry for any inconvience towards you guys. We had 3 no shows and a ton of technical difficulty's so there was alot of scrambling and everybody was stressed. Its really tough to run a tourney with a small group especially with as big of players as we had. There were alot of things we didn't forsee and we learned alot about how to run our next tourney. we'll certainly plan out rules for DC's and try to solve any other issues we faced. I hope that some of you enjoyed it, we tried to make it the best possible and I promise the next time around that everything will go much smoother.

Completely ridiculous and absurd ruling

I talked to steven and asked him if he wanted a rematch, He said no. End of Story, Please check out. forum.envygaming.org for more info on events and EnVy Gaming news.
By the way some people are mad because we made destiny close his stream, it was necessary.
Additionally, the 10 minute breaks were because, of people who were confirmed not showing.
Azz-Didn't show FxOptiKzeRo-Double Booked in another tournament MoMaN-Late. tQSadist-Left us a message on here 10 minutes before start time. All of these people were talked to many times and still found a way not to show up, I'm sorry for how things went last night, it was bad from the start. All I ask is that you forgive us, and we will bring better starcraft to you in the future.
Thanks, Bonkerz
